   Great time fishing with Capt Bruce Keus and his mate Josh!! They worked extremely hard to put us on fish both days! They spared no expense to ensure we were in the right place at the right time to get tight on a giant Bluefin! The food prepared by the Captains mother was insane! Lobster rolls for lunch and the baked goods were first class. Told her she needs to open a bakery! Truly an amazing experience. Cannot wait to fish with them again!!! See more..

   As magical as when I was growing up running around the base on a family afternoon, touring our eastern peak! The gift shop is a great place to stop, shop & take in the nostalgia. Make sure you pop over to the actual light house. If you feel adventurous you can pay a small fee, and take the stairs all the way to history! It is a great view! Be prepared to climb, test your balance a wee bit on the way down and follow the signs. Stop & embrace the history on each of the floors. When you get to the top, it is as if you are looking through generations of light keepers eyes! Magic The “glass” at the top is worn and your photo won’t be crystal clear, but you can feel the air and the way rings use to be! Happy lighthousing! See more..

   When I was young, in the summers, my parents would take us to the mini train in Albeton. It is one of my fondest childhood memories. Today I road that same train in Elmira, making memories with a few of my friends! As soon as we arrived, played on the play equipment, had a picnic lunch and then visited the three museums. The one we liked best was the model train, that covered the Island like the dew. Then... it was time to ride the mini train. It was a 15 minute ride through the woods. It was our favourite part. Before heading back through Souris for ice cream, we took time to play in the park one more time. See more..

   I stopped off here after a long day cycling and set up camp at the bottom of the grassy slope within feet of a great stretch of sandy beach. The beach was not at all busy in September and as I paddled and rested my weary legs I saw kayakers paddle by and a few swimmers squealing as they ran in and out of the water. I went to sleep listening to the waves lapping the shore. I met a retired couple who had set up their RV on a prime spot where they spent the whole summer - they know how to do it!!! A beautiful peaceful place - hope to get back there next summer. See more..
