  2. 5.0 Dickson Falls (12 reviews)
    - Beautiful Short Walk
    Spent 1-2 hours Waterfalls
    Dickson Falls image
We absolutely loved walking this trail. It was short (the slightly longer version of it was closed) and very well maintained. I love that it is so well cared for and other than people carving their names into the boardwalk it was so prestige. It’s sad that the drought has caused the water level to be so low but that is simply nature. It’s well worth the short walk. See more..

    Dobson Trail image
Beginner and experienced hikers love 'The Dobson". The first section is a well groomed loop trail along Mill Creek, a meandering stream flowing gently over rocks. A great place for dog walking and family hikes. Go further and you will find a well marked trail wandering through the woods. Hike in as far as you want and then hike back out. The trail itself travels 50km right down to Fundy National Park. The trail is maintained by dedicated volunteers who take care of any fallen trees or other obstacles. See more..
  5. 5.0 Harper's U-Pick Raspberries (3 reviews)
    - Raspberries, Blackberries etc. U-pick fun
    Spent 1-2 hours Farms
    Harper's U-Pick Raspberries image
We picked lots of raspberries to make our own jams and jellies. The young ones put as many in their mouths as in their baskets. When you arrive go to the cottage at the corner of the fields. The will supply you with baskets and indicate which rows to start off with. Later, when you think you have what you need, you return to the cottage to have all weighed and you pay there. The experience is unforgettable and enjoyable. The fruit fields are endless. Blackcurrent, gooseberry, blackberry are there at the right season. See more..

  9. 4.5 Waterside Farms Cottage Winery (32 reviews)
    - Excellent wines, stunning view
    Friday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Wineries & Vineyards
    Waterside Farms Cottage Winery image
We visited the Waterside Winery on our way to Cape Enrage, and we're so glad we stopped when we saw the sign! We didn't realize it wasn't a vineyard, and none of us really enjoys fruit wines because we find them heavy and too sweet, but this place really is a hidden gem. We sampled all of their wines, rhubarb, cranberry, and three blueberries: dry, sweet, and semi-sweet. These wines are far more sophisticated than your typical farmer's market fruit wine, and we would recommend any of them. We bought a bottle of the rhubarb, which was light and tart, and wished we had picked up a dry blueberry as well, it would be perfect with summer barbecue food. The winery also has a stunning view of the landscape and the bay of Fundy. We are looking forward to a return trip! See more..
  10. 4.5 Mary's Point Bird Sanctuary/Shepody National Wildlife area (16 reviews)
    - Peaceful spot with or without the birds
Spent < 1 hour Nature & Wildlife Areas
Mary's Point Bird Sanctuary/Shepody National Wildlife area image
We stopped at Mary's Point in mid-August hoping to catch the migrating birds. While we did not see the massive flocks we had envisioned in our minds (and had been seen there the day before), there were still plenty on the shore that day and more were coming in as the tide was changing. Only a couple of people around, so very peaceful and relaxing to walk to and on the upper part of the beach and rocks (didn't go all the way to the water, since there were birds there). A very nice visitor center with helpful rangers, lots of information about the wildlife and birds, restrooms, and a telescope set up to view the birds out across the marsh and bay shore. Wish we could have spent more time. See more..
  11. 4.5 Laverty Falls (13 reviews)
    - Lovely Falls at the End of the Trail
    Waterfalls
    Laverty Falls image
The falls were a lovely spot to sit and relax after doing the first half of the hike. Go in the morning to avoid crowds. There were only 2 other people there when we got there and when we left all of the families with small children started coming in and this was around lunch time. Be warned it can be a bit difficult on the way back at times as its basically all uphill on the way back. Still a very fun trail! See more..
  12. 4.5 Waterside Beach (9 reviews)
    - Beautiful, sprawling beach for walking and watching the tides
    Beaches
    Waterside Beach image
Once spotting Waterside Beach en route we had to get out to explore. The tide was almost out and the red rippled floor of the bay beckoned for a barefoot walk to the water. The sand was exposed as far as the eye could see which didn’t mean much until later in the evening when we drove back to find the high tide had covered everything! A spectacular example of the tides of Fundy. See more..

The trail to this beach is under repair but if you can it is worth the descent to the ocean floor. Best to go at low tide and be prepared to walk for awhile along a sandy beach. At low tide you can view the covered bridge from this beach as well as remants of an old wharf. Beautiful views of the opposing cliffs and incoming tide See more..

  17. 4.5 The Old Bank Museum (2 reviews)
    - Excellent, little gem of a museum.
    Speciality Museums
We stopped here whilst passing as the sign outside said it was open. It’s the old bank that is now in its third location. Outside, you can read all the history. Whilst we were reading the text we were met by the curator and his friendly dog “Max”. He then gave us lots of interesting details about how the bank used to be and also other parts of local history (including shipbuilding). The bank managers office includes various pictures of the various managers of the bank and there is a small display on local shipbuilding at the back of the museum. And upstairs is laid out in the old bank managers residence with various displays. Well worth a stop. No admission fee, there is a pot for donations. See more..

  19. 4.5 Coppermine Trail (2 reviews)
    - Great views
    Hiking Trails
This 5.2 k trail winds its way through dense woods and crosses several creeks. An old copper mine is at the mid point. It is a very rugged climb to see the old mine but if necessary, there is by pass that can be taken. The second part of the trail follows the cliff edge with fantastic views of the bay of Fundy and the water below. It took us 2.5 hrs to complete this trail. See more..

    Speciality Museums
    New Brunswick Railway Museum image
This is a fabulous hidden gem for those who love trains and would like to hear more about the history of trains in NB. The guides know their stuff and have personal stories to tell. There a quite a few trains that you can climb up into including a beautiful pullman car. There are a lot of unique trains here including possibly the only double snowplow left in Canada. They have a steam engine, crane, a huge barn museum full of antiques and they even do hay rides for the kids sometimes on a small train car. See more..
  22. 4.0 Headquarters Campground (20 reviews)
    - Great campground in central location
Spent More than 3 hours National Parks
    Headquarters Campground image
Enjoyed three nights camping at Headquarters. Sites are well-spaced, with RV sites, tent sites, even yurts and OTENTIKs. My only caution is that if you are coming from Saint John -- be careful on the hills heading to the visitor's center - they are incredibly steep and windy, which was a bit of a challenge for the brakes on my motor coach. Will be leaving towards the east to avoid going through there again. See more..
