- 4.5 The Historical and Cultural Complex Stalin Line (228 reviews)
-A must-see even for non-history minded tourists
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Military Museums • Speciality Museums
The Historical and Cultural Complex “Stalin line” is 26 km from the Minsk and 6 km from Zaslavl town. The Historical and Cultural Complex “Stalin line” was founded on 60-th anniversary of soviet people Victory in the Great Patriotic war (IIWW) and it was opened on the 30th of June 2005 in memory of soldures who defend Minsk in 1941. Main museum exposition is related to first days of the Great Patriotic war. “Stalin line” is the chain of defensive installations along the former USSR frontier from Karelian Isthmus to the shores of Black sea. It consisted of twenty three fortified regions including more than four thousand permanent weapon emplacements (pillboxes). All are made from high quality fortification concrete. Four fortified regions – Polotsk, Minsk, Slutsk, Mozyr – were at territory of Belarus in total nine hundred sixty-six pillboxes. Fortified regions formed a united defense line. The entire line of the fortified regions had been built since 1928 till the autumn 1939. Minsk’s fortified region No 63, which was 140 kilometers long included 327 pillboxes. On 26-28th of June 1941 at the lines of the Minsk`s fortified region there was fierce fighting with the attacking units of the German army. The Military-museum exposition was created and planed, so that from first steps a visitor could feel spirit of that time. The opportunity to be absorbed in history is one of the distinctive features of the museum. The basis of the exposition is original pillboxes. All entrenchments and communication trenches with rifle-pits for machine-guns and with blindages and recesses for ammunition were reconstructed according to the year 1940 designs. There is a park of military equipment of different years in the museum. It is the most complete exposition of military equipment in the Republic of Belarus, which was adopted by USSR army in different years, beginning from the Second World War. The museum territory is organized for reenactments of IIWW and modern fights which are pl... See more..
- 4.5 Corpus Christi Church in Nesvizh (208 reviews)
-The oldest baroque church in central Europe
Churches & Cathedrals
An important place. The Radziwill family were Catholic and this was a Jesuit foundation. The baroque interior is original and incudes two Radziwill family memorials. It is close to the entrance to the causeway which takes you to the palace and you have to park close to the church anyway. Don't walk past, have a look around inside and it will give you a good introduction to the the family. Visitors are made welcome. See more..
- 4.5 Sula History Park-Museum (123 reviews)
-Worth It!!!
Saturday: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Speciality Museums • Parks
I came with my friend, her husband, and their 5yo son. First of all, I loved how a lot of signs were written in Belarusian. The staff were all very enthusiastic and friendly, I was surprised. I bought bread, tea, and a bottle of fine spirits. My mushroom barley soup tasted okay. The last cheese block for sale was a bit squishy so I decided not to purchase it. At night, the views were gorgeous. I wish I had allotted time for a boat ride. I highly recommend visiting Sula. See more..
- 4.5 City Hall in Nesvizh (107 reviews)
-A short but informative visit
Points of Interest & Landmarks
While many come to Nesvizh just for castle, they forget to see its another good landmark. The City Hall excursions are very informative and interesting, helping to understand the complex history better. The exhibition inside is not as wonderful as in the castle, but you should still see it. See more..
- 4.5 Mound of Glory (74 reviews)
-Glory Mound - a view over the scenic countryside
Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Monuments & Statues
Erected to commemorate the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi occupants in summer 1944 this mound today greets visitors coming to Minsk from MSQ Airport and Moscow. It is the second sight in the Khatyn - Glory Mound tour that is a nice opportunity to learn about the liberation of Belarus, take a few pictures with the best Soviet tanks or just to stroll around the beautiful countryside and make an ascent of the mound. - 4.5 Barysaw Arena (57 reviews)
-GAWA LATE WIN
Arenas & Stadiums
Stadium looks like a spacecraft from the outside. It’s a pity the scoreboard didn’t show replays - especially of the Northern Ireland late winner. Poor home support of the National Team - especially when tickets were less than £5. Hard to buy a programme once secluded in the away end See more..

-Where else can you ride a tank and shoot weapons?
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Military Bases & Facilities
The guided tour is very interesting (if you don´t have a translator, it will be pointless, unless you know Russian/Belarusian). The guide that was with us (Mikhail) was very entertaining and friendly. After a guided tour of around 1h, we rode tha tank, and shot some weapons. These are not included on the ticket fee, but is certainly not somehting you would do elsewhere. See more..

- 4.5 Pobedy Park (20 reviews)
-An unexpected hit
Parks
we weren't going to go to Pobedy park but we found we were on the right metro line and decided we would. An impressive arch faces towards central Moscow whilst a long paved section of park stretches away towards an obelisk. The paved park is marked at intervals by a simple bronze block for each year of WW2, from 1939 to 1940. The obelisk itself has bas reliefs depcicting the horrors of war and heroism in the various Soviet cities; the building behind houses a museum with diaoramas of the war but the main thing is 2 memorial halls - one hung with teardrop chains and one huge circular hall with just one sculpture of a sodier in the middle.
See more..

- 4.5 Zaslavl Museum (11 reviews)
-Old wooden houses wiht original interiors
Speciality Museums
Nice little museum consisting of 4 old houses with their original interiors. The lady in charge took us from house to house and explained everything in Belarus (a language we don't speak). There are no English displays either, but with lots of body language we managed to understand quite a lot of it. There's the home, a forge, a grain mill, a grain shop and gardens full of apple trees. Much more real than the folk and wooden architecture museums we've seen elsewhere. See more..
