The Historical and Cultural Complex “Stalin line” is 26 km from the Minsk and 6 km from Zaslavl town. The Historical and Cultural Complex “Stalin line” was founded on 60-th anniversary of soviet people Victory in the Great Patriotic war (IIWW) and it was opened on the 30th of June 2005 in memory of soldures who defend Minsk in 1941. Main museum exposition is related to first days of the Great Patriotic war. “Stalin line” is the chain of defensive installations along the former USSR frontier from Karelian Isthmus to the shores of Black sea. HOW TO GET THERE BY BUS for a few roubles
An interesting place to visit and a rare glimpse into the past., just make sure that you dont follow a coach party into one of the bunkers , they bunkers are quiet big and can hold many people and you may get stuck inside with them ! I could go on about the wonderful items on display with information that is well labeled in English. but I think other posts will cover this. What I will go on about is GETTING THERE It is not the easiest of places to get to particularly if you dont have your own transport as it is about 30km out of Minsk city centre. so here is some easy to follow instructions on getting there. Go to the front of the main railway station in minsk (Minsk-Passazhirsky ) and then go inside and down to level -1. This is the level that will take you through the subway to all the platforms. Walk all the way through this subway until you have past all of the platform and there are some stairs leading up to street level. You are now south of the railway tracks, turn left and almost immediately you will see the small mini buses that hold about 15 people standing by the side of the road. You need to get in one labeled for Маладзе́чна ask the driver for Linina Stalina After about 40 minutes and a payment of 2-5 rubles you will be there. Just watch out as you cross the very busy road and walk along the grass verge to the entrance next to the church Getting back is even easier, just go to the bus stop on the other side of the road and wait for a mini bus. pay the driver 2-5 rubles when you return to the main railway station in the town again. Confusingly you will be dropped off in front of the station this time.

    Visited on Artillery Day
Noticed that someone here wrote directions on how to get there by the van buses. I will improve on this by posting pictures on how to get to the spot for the minivans: Basically follow the images and that user's description. This will help you and save you taxi money. A ride as of November 2018 will set you back 4 rubles one way. Now, for the attraction: I was there during the Artillery Day event where there was a reenaction of the Battle of Stalingrad. There were also various artillery pieces and MLRSs. Belarusian soldiers were present to give visitors a guide on how the weapons are used and such. Personally this was limited for me but nothing google translate couldn't overcome. I noticed that a different user commented on the "Soldier's porridge" being bland and the most terrible thing they'd probably have eaten in Minsk. Honestly I do not know if they changed recipes since then, but it was quite alright and even if it weren't, it was only 3 rubles. However, do avoid the shashlik vendor: I asked for one shashlik assuming a full skewer and got a single chunk and the bread I believed was free was 50kp. While it was delicious, 4 rubles was a ripoff. At least the porridge vendor would give a slice of bread for free. The reenactment itself was pretty spectacular. Pyrotechnics were present, tanks being driven, just watch your head for the stray pyrotechnic pieces that may fall from the sky. One reenactor even proposed to his SO after the set, that was pretty sweet. Every vehicle on the row behind the reenactment area has descriptions in English. There is also a children's playground which is a little sad looking but at least it has two out of commission vehicles that kids can climb in and such. Now, the shooting range: I asked via google translate if their rounds were live. While the man said yes, I check the cartridges littered in the area and the crimped edges showed they were blanks. So keep this in mind. They also now have hearing protection on tables. Overall the event and the reenaction was well worth the 7 rubles I paid as a student. And yes, this apparently applies to students outside of Belarus and Russia. I just asked for the student price and the cashier just gave it to me. ADDENUM: Apparently tripadvisor is being buggy and will not let me submit pictures... Period. I will see if I can host the images via an image hosting site.
