Worth It!!!

I came with my friend, her husband, and their 5yo son. First of all, I loved how a lot of signs were written in Belarusian. The staff were all very enthusiastic and friendly, I was surprised. I bought bread, tea, and a bottle of fine spirits. My mushroom barley soup tasted okay. The last cheese block for sale was a bit squishy so I decided not to purchase it. At night, the views were gorgeous. I wish I had allotted time for a boat ride. I highly recommend visiting Sula.

    Enchanting & Educational - a Must Do!!!
The land now known as Belorus, has rich and quite amazing history. Much of that history is unknown to the rest of the world. However, mere 37 miles southwest from Minsk, there is a tribute to that history. Sula is a Historical Park Complex complete with hotels, restaurants and entertainment. It is open to public and one can freely walk among the paths of the past, but I would strongly advise to take advantage of the tour guides. This is a great adventure for families as well as couples or groups. Once you cross a little bridge, you will go back in time and learn about the rise of Rech Pospolitaya, its character, its heroes, its spirit. You will get to participate in ancient rites, row a Viking ship (replica), throw Nordic daggers at a target and work with an iron smith. Enjoy the music from “Duda”, national musical instrument, similar to Scottish bagpipe, and visit Lenski Museum to learn about generosity of that family for the good of the land and its people and the terrible fate that had befallen them. Also, there is modern entertainment. You can take a helicopter ride over the park to see it from the bird’s eye view. You can take a carriage ride or go horseback riding on beautiful horses, kept in the park stables. Try your skill on an ATV or rent a catamaran. Enjoy a sauna, or a beach by the lake, or fishing. Finally, remember to taste brand name “Zapolski” Starka, trice distilled liquor, made on premises; you can observe the process behind a glass partition. This is educational, spiritual and relaxing pastime. Moreover, it is still being restored, the Old Castle is being brought forth and build up to its former glory. The Rotunda, Lenski Family Crypt, destroyed and graves robbed, will be reconstructed from the rubble, with many more exhibits to follow. Don’t Miss It!!!

    Informative and Good
I am visiting Belarus and was very happy to have been taken to Sula History Park- Museum. The secondary roads near the Park were in poor condition but the park itself was well worth the effort. The different exhibits were well done with good information. I do not speak Russian and appreciated the posted English descriptions. I also had a very good interpreter. It would have been great to have had the ability to rent a hand held devices that provide the relevant information in English or other language as needed. I can't imagine anyone being able to find this place without a tour guide but it would be worth every effort to arrange such.
