  2. 5.0 Rascals Waterpark (25 reviews)
    - Fun beach day with family
Thursday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Water Parks
    Rascals Waterpark image
Rascals is a beach restaurant and bar with an inflatable waterpark attraction on the water. We had some issues with our hotel accommodation and my family of 3 decided to pass the time there just after landing in Barbados. I must single out Shelly and Andrea who were both so accommodating and made us feel welcome. Thanks ladies! The restaurant area was clean and well maintained. The food was excellent - we ordered regular burgers and a salad which were delicious, although the service was a bit slow as things got busy. I recommend that you try the blended fruit punch. It was so refreshing. My 11 yr old son had a blast on the water park which was well manned. I felt comfortable letting him go on his own. The beach itself is also lovely for relaxing, sunbathing or swimming. We had such a good time, that we returned the next day with the rest of our group. See more..

    Pebbles Beach image
This beach is so pretty with the sailboats! If you are staying for awhile, it pays to join the Cruising Club. It costs $125 US for a family for 6 months (less for a single person) - you get free beach chairs, loungers, and umbrellas anytime you go. Plus a discount at the restaurant Dippers, plus bathroom use, plus free kayaks any day and also free standup on Fridays... also discounts with Set Sail to rent sailboats or take lessons/kid's camps. The people are so nice there, and it's such a mellow/chill environment. Nice to come work at Dippers (it's only been open Fri-Sunday, but maybe open more now with the holidays). Browne's Beach image
Stayed on the island for 5 weeks and visited majority of popular beaches and non compared to browns. The sea was perfectly still for our 9 month old with no currents or large waves even on windy days. From this beach it’s easy to swim out 100 yards and swim with turtles and the occasional manta ray. The guys that rent the sun loungers here were brilliant and you will pay about 15-20US for two chairs and an umbrella. Some of the nicest food is available from street vendors nearby. See more..

    - A great evening out with family
    Horse Tracks
    Barbados Turf Club image
A fantastic evening out, we paid BBD$15 each for entry to the races, and had a great night. The atmosphere was brilliant with a mix of locals and tourists. We as a family of 5 with teenage kids felt completely safe at all times and welcome with locals only too happy to point us towards the toilets, bar and betting offices! Drinks are cheap and so are snacks. We managed to win and loose with almost zero experience on horse racing! I would absolutely recommend an evening at the races and soak up the laid back friendly Bajan hospitality See more..

I had done my research on here... knew this was the beach for us. Walk OUT of the port terminal and get a local Taxi ( don't get on a mini bus in port... they make you wait for more customers. Nigel ( taxi driver ) found us and walked us to his taxi ( i kept his card... Tel: CELL (246) 238-1784 ) we agreed the fare $5 each to beach. He dropped us off by the beach bar. And said he would come back...he did :-) We arranged two hours later, that was the ideal time on beach for us.( the bar would have rung us a taxi). This was such a fantastically quite , sandy beach .
