Horseback Riding Tours
This was the first time I had ridden a horse in 50 years and to say I was nervous was an under statement! Rico who took us out was fun and playful and his knowledge of the Islands history, the flora and fauna was amazing. He made me feel relaxed and comfortable so I actually thoroughly enjoyed it. Sahara the horse I rode was gentle and knew I was nervous so stayed calm. The yard itself is on the west coast and very pretty and obviously loved and cared for. Can’t recommend this highly enough, well worth it. I must finish by mentioning Tracker - the manager and security guard- what an amazing little dog so full of energy. He escorted us the whole route and made sure we left the stables before going back and sunning himself again, a right little character. See more..

- 4.5 St. John's Parish Church (99 reviews)
-Beautiful Historic Church with Spectacular View
Churches & Cathedrals
We traveled over to the east coast of the island to tour the Clifton Hall Great House and decided to make a stop at this beautiful little church perched on the hill overlooking the dramatic east coast of Barbados. The church itself is a delightful small house of worship and clearly gets a fair bit of attention. The day we stopped by they were having a funeral service for one of the locals and the place was packed. The grounds have all sorts of interesting crypts and headstones, some dating back to the mid 1600's. Really fascinating and definitely worth the stop. See more..

We stumbled across the Bath Beach House looking for lunch. We were not disappointed. The delicious buffet lunch was reasonably priced, delicious local food. Other people there were heading off Kayaking and there was hiking available. The bay is calm and beautiful. Staff are lovely and the place clean. Well worth a visit. See more..
