Stunning promenade

This beautiful promenade runs parallel to the marina. It is lined on both sides with rows of palm trees. The surface is decorated with 6.600.000 tricolor marble tiles forming a design with a characteristic wave effect mosaic. One part of the promenade hosts stalls, where you can buy souvenirs from Alicante, jewelry, fashion accessories, t-shirts, and all kinds of items. Next to the promenade, you can see the emblematic building Casa Carbonell and the open-air auditorium 'La Concha'.

Nice walk. Spot the street photographer! and let him picture you!
Spot the street photographer on the Esplanade. That is the best advice we can give you. This artist (with Bowler Hat) makes and develops on the spot a picture of you or your love one with a old fashioned Camera Obscura. They experience is wonderful and the result is perfect for just € 5 or € 10 depending on the size of the print. You will love this artist!

    Beautiful harbor side street
This lovely street is reminiscent of those in other Mediterranean seaside towns…cafes, hotels and other businesses front the seaside, with plenty of people watching to enjoy. The walkway looks older than it actually is….the marble mosaic was pieced in the 90s, but it gives the area a special touch. The Spanish marble is stunning. On a pretty day you can shop the little stalls which have something for just about everyone, get a gelato or a Starbucks (there is one right on the roadway), or settle in at one of the cafes for a glass of wine and lunch. When the cruise ships are in port it’s pretty busy and you may even spot some yachts, too. Wander off the passeig and find your way to old town and admire the beautiful architecture, as we did on our walking tour. It’s worth it!
