Absolutely beautiful!
I strongly recommend taking a walk up to the center of Altea. It's worth it. If you get off the train at the Garganes stop, the walk up is mostly on the stairs and it's not hard on the back or the legs. There are several stops along the way to take pictures of the beautiful view. I have taken some that I've shared here, but my cell phone camera is not the best. Once you arrive at the center, by the church plaza, there are a couple of restaurants to sit and have a drink or an appetizer. Coming down was a different experience altogether. Visiting the small shops on this narrow street that comes down from the side of the church made me feel like I was in one of the travel show programs :) It was a very pleasant walk and experience.

OLD VILLAGE WITH FRESH LOOK AND NICE VIEWS
This is a very nice small old town where you can walk the narrow and clean streets full of souvenir stores, clothes and small cafes! great views from the top and don't forget to visit the antique church to complete the remote age feelings. Do not recommend this place for people with reduce mobility. is not suitable for wheelchairs or scooters. Very clean and nicely look
