A free, interactive museum, about the history and legacy of the vikings and the viking era. The displays are fascinating and well put, everything was in English. Staff were polite and helpful. After visiting the museum, you can visit the cemetery and the hills near it - nice views with historical significance. The site is free of charge.

    The best
    This is how every museum should be. Spacious, educative, interactive, very interesting (even for kids). Every detail is thought about, even the shop. Very friendly (English speaking) staff. Collection is nothing special - compared to the national museum - but extremely well presented. A model for every museum to come.

    Truly exceptional without entry or parking fees
    Very execeptional experience. The set-up of the exibition is very straightforward though mordern and very accesible and living and exciting. There is entry fee and parking is free. It is a true hidden gem and a genuinly rare and good place to visit.
