This islet is the only place of Roman Catholic pilgrimage in Finland. Henry the bishop of Finland was murdered on the frozen Köyliö lake c. 20 January 1156 and became a Saint. The islet on that lake is Catholic place of pilgrimage.See more..

This chapel is situated in the middle of Rauma's historic cemetery. It was designed by the famous Finnish architect, Lars Sonck, who also designed the Tampere Cathedral and other Finnish landmarks. This one is done in his trademark National Romantic style with beautiful stone-carving and a shape like a traditional house. Alfred Kordelin was a noteworthy Rauma dignitary and this burial chapel is small but lovely.See more..
