This hexagonal Norwegian style fjeld church is beautiful, especially the four frescos on the ceiling are skilful with most deviant style. Also beautiful luminaire, church organ (from year 1940) and altar textiles as well as the altarpiece. The church was finished 1876, renovated in 1902 and changed considerably 1928 when professor Lennart Segerstråle painted the frescos (God´s covenant with Noah, Jesus calms the storm, Jesus saves the drowning Peter and The sea gives up its dead). There is also an octagonal bell tower and cemetery close to the church. In front of the church is the memorial "Storm" by sculptor Wäino Aaltonen. This church is a popular wedding church and Finnish president Niinistö has been wed in this lovely small church.See more..

This chapel is situated in the middle of Rauma's historic cemetery. It was designed by the famous Finnish architect, Lars Sonck, who also designed the Tampere Cathedral and other Finnish landmarks. This one is done in his trademark National Romantic style with beautiful stone-carving and a shape like a traditional house. Alfred Kordelin was a noteworthy Rauma dignitary and this burial chapel is small but lovely.See more..

Kirkko sijaitsee mäellä ja on viehättävä. Satuimme paikalle kun puutarhurit olivat työssään (muutenkin muu elämä kylässä oli hiljaista).See more..
