We were pleasantly surprised when we got our room on the first floor as it backed on to the 10th whole and included an outside patio with a few comfortable Adirondack chairs for us to sit on while enjoying a few pre-dinner drinks! The lake itself is steps away from the resort and you are able to soak in the sun and water as there is also a deck to lounge on. I always like to play Piedmont as it's almost always in good condition but... Some things are annoying like: they don't always cut the greens in the morning so putting conditions are uneven, the cups are often damaged as they are not changed in the morning, the sprinklers are turned on even while you play, many dorks are playing that course (the kind not repairing their ball marks), the little restaurant after the 9th hole is often closed if you play early, there is no practice facility or even a net to warm-up before hitting your first ball, the starter doesn't respect the tee times so you will not necessarily start at the time you reserved or with the people you were supposed to play with...See more..
This is a decent golf course with very friendly staff . Other than for the fact the fairways were somewhat browned as a result of the extended period of hot weather and lack of rain , it was a decent challenge and a scenic walk . I played this course for the first time on Aug. 5-2017. I had not heard or played this course before. It's a little over an hour from Montreal not far from Rawdon or Joliette. I was pleasantly surprised. Everything from the course to the clubhouse was perfect. There are two 18 holes courses here. We played Le Canton. The greens were on the fast side while the fairways were like a plush carpet. I will surely be going back to this one soon.See more..

Late summer the fairways were green and well-maintained, the greens were greener and manicured, the cart paths went through beautiful forest, and the sky was a blue that made it easy to follow the flight path of the ball. I appreciated being able to see where my ball went without help. Prices are very good. There is a slightly less-formal dress code than some of the other courses, and the pace of play is senior-friendly. We were 6. We had nothing complicated so it was perfect. We recommend as parking is easy. The place is aging. There was not much to eat on June 16th. Unfortunately there is 'planned' construction on three of the holes and 'unplanned' construction on four or five of the holes. This unplanned construction is due to the flooding that has occurred on the property. The total construction project requires the rerouting and use of holes on al three nines.
