While staying at Manoir Hovey in the Eastern Townships, we heard about La Station boutique cheese maker. We were able to find the cheese shop on a drive through the neighbouring area and had a great visit. In spite of Covid restrictions, we had a great visit to their shop and tried some amazing local cheeses! The person in the shop was very knowledgeable about their cheeses and recommended some great ones for purchase. If you are in the area of North Hatley or Compton, I highly recommend a visit to the cheese shop. You can also see their cheese "cave" and watch the robot turning and brushing the cheese wheels! Our guide, Rose, was so kind and we learned so much about the sugar shack and how it produces maple products. She was very knowledgeable and even let us borrow snowshoes to walk the sugar maple grove. I would absolutely recommend coming here if you want a genuine maple shack experience.
