4.5 (707 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Jutland Architectural Buildings • Religious Sites

A simply must-see

The visit to the cathedral is free of charge (unless you will enter the tower). It is and amazing building from around 1150. A great atmpshpere. The decorations (mosaics and glass pintings) by Cora-artist, Carl-Henning Pedersen are amazing. A simpky must see.

    Nordic simplicity
I have seen comments describing it as bland or boring. It is the nature of the Danish Lutheran to be simple in its interiors in contrast to the opulence of the Catholic churches of the same era. We like the minimalist interiors and its stark contrast with a very modern altar. The art certainly draws the eye to the altar. Amazingly, entrance is free!

    a must see in Jutland
Those used to stone cathedrals will be pleasantly surprised by this beautifully maintained cathedral. They have a large organ,, and the sound in this magnificent space is unforgettable. The cathedral is in the center of a very large square with little traffic, so it is set off well
