Nordsoen Oceanarium, Jutland, Denmark
4.0 (550 reviews) Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Spent Ranking #2 in Jutland Aquariums
Hours of entertainment
We visited this place with our two kids, and they loved every minute of it. There is so much to do and see, interactive as well as watching. All is explained in English as well, and the Covid-19 measures were good as well. Make sure you get the times for the feeding times and don’t miss it. Even the restaurant is decent for its location, and not terribly overpriced. Highlights: playground, diver in tank feeding fish, feeding of the seals, catching fish video games, ship in fake storm!!!

They have sunfish!
This is not the biggest aquarium i have ever been at. Or the one that has the most fish. But its the only one that advertises sunfish and actually has them!! We went there at opening time and left 10 minutes before closing. There are so many things to see and so many hidden spots to discover. We though we had seen everything but no. Another turn, another hidden corner. The only reason we travelled there were the sunfish. We were not disappointed. They have two in the main tank and they look every way like you would expect a sunfish to look. A tail attached to a head. Weird! It was a great way to spend the day and i enjoyed every minute of it. Very nice staff and very knowledgeable as well. It was worth a special trip all the way up there!

Bit boring
Considering this is to be the biggest Oceanarium in northern Europe, I was very disappointed. I expected more. Liked to watch the klumpfish, but the rest felt like it has been done before. Could be it is more interesting during the summer, but it was a lot of money for something I did not enjoy. The fish/starfish in the touching tank was hiding and the ones you could reach was not treated well by the guests. No staff to supervise for the well being of the animals. The seals was interesting, but as a lot of foreigners comes here it would be nice to have the seal feeding being done in both English and Danish so all have a chance to follow what the trainers say. The Cafeteria there is a no go. Boring food and the fish and chips are just Fish fillets with fries.
