Faaborg Museum is a complete work of art comprising painting, sculpture, architecture and furniture design. The Museum is an architectural gem. The ‘Faaborg Chair’, which was created especially for the Museum, is an iconic piece of Danish modern furniture design. Many galleries, columns, mosaics and coloured cabinets combine to produce a special magic – it’s as if a little piece of the Mediterranean has appeared in southern Funen, Denmark. delight
always always always, remember to visit this museum when in Faaborg. Its a one of a kind danish art museum. This time we saw an exhibition with Johannes Larsen, and also the permanet exhibition.

Faaborg Museum, an hour with the arts
Wonderful small museum of late nineteenth and early twentieth century paintings, perfect for an hour or so. Recommended if you like the paintings in Skagen. If not familiar with Danish art, this isa nice place to start, and if you are familiar with it, there are many fine works here that are not as well known because they are in a small museum in the provinces. The permanent collection is great, and there are often additional small shows as well.
