Magical Caves of Drach

Slide & Splash is one of Algarve’s biggest and most popular water parks, with loads of fun rides and activities. The mini slides and water fountains at Foam Slides and Tropical Paradise are great for the younger ones, while older travelers will love the thrill of Big Wave, where you're dropped down a large open-air slide on a rubber ring. After having fun on the slides, you can catch one of the park’s live animal shows to see exciting birds of prey, or visit Aquafeeling for a relaxing massage or fish spa. – Tripadvisor

    Brilliant experience!
While visiting Porto Cristo for the day we parked in the caves car park and booked the 3pm slot at the ticket desk. Once we arrived for our slot we were surprised how long the queue was due to the massive group size and how long we waited to get in due to them checking the tickets. Once inside if you hang around at the back of your group passing through the caves you can enjoy the surroundings more as your not packed in with everyone else. The staff try to move you along but just ignore them as most people did, just take the time you need as you have paid for a time slot so it's not your fault that they ran behind schedule due to the queue size. Once you pass through the caves you come to the seating area looking over the lake in which the lights are turned off once everyone is seated. The orchestra and lights from the boats are amazing with the acoustics of the cave. You can then choose to take the path to the exit or take the boat ride, the queue again for the boats is long but worth the wait. Overall a brilliant experience, just could be organised better.

Good experience, done via local bus rather than travel provider.
Upon researching experiences near Cala D’Or, we spotted the Drach Caves (nothing to do with the Count)! The travel company/ hotel offered the trip at circa £45 each, we opted to go with the local bus and get a ticket separate which was a much cheaper way to do the trip. Bus network super easy and clean coach like public buses. The caves themselves were impressive but we felt like cattle being marched through them, the “concert” was nice, but people insisted on filming it, after being told not too. The boat ride at the end was the best bit of the trip! Overall the caves were a nice experience.
