Last visited here in 2012, when staying in Cala D'Or, and had the most wonderful & inexpensive Tapas meal ever This time we were in Alcudia and caught the bus into Palme for a day out, making sure that one of our first stops was at this wonderful Market, which is only a short walk from the main train/bus interchange at Placa Espana. We were not disappointed. The place has had quite a makeover since we were last here, but lost none of its charm or atmosphere. The displays of Seafood, Fruit & Veg, etc, on its stalls are second to none, and many of the numerous eateries have gone quite upmarket. We even found the same place we eat last time we were here, Bar del Peix and once again had a lovely Tapas lunch, which cost us just short of 12E, with drinks. It's just a great place to walk round, look at the wonderful displays, people watch & soak in the atmosphere. A visit to Palma, without a call into this Market is a day unfulfilled. Don't miss it See more..
