This is a great company and I strongly recommend them. I booked two tours. Both were great value for money and a fantastic way to learn about the culture and history of the region. Very knowledgeable guide. Well structured and interesting tours. Fantastic systems for organizing payment, pick ups etc. Everything ran smoothly and they delivered exactly what they said they would. Both Blessings and Bongani were professional, friendly and lovely to deal with. As a woman traveling alone I felt very safe and well looked after at all times. See more..

    Ride Zimbabwe image
I was privileged to ride with James at Iganyana this August. What an experience! He is a fantastic guide and he and Janine were amazing hosts for the 5 days. We saw lions, elephants, impala, zebra and hung out right next to a herd of wild buffalo on our entirely unperturbed horses. Strongly recommend riding safaris to anyone comfortable on a horse, you won’t regret it! See more..

Our happy group of friends traveled across Zimbabwe and a bit Zambia, too, with Wanderlust Campers. Everything was so well organized and they were very flexible with our requests and wishes. Thamu and Paida are the most kind, professional, hard working and funny guys. Exactly the kind you can make a great roadtrip with. We genuinely missed them after we left for home. During the trip we saw a lot, we got to understand a lot thanks to the way we chose to travel. Africa is so beautiful, in many ways. I can't recommend this tour company enough. See more..

My wife and I had an amazing trip to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Being our first time to visit this place,i found it to be the greatest tourist resorts ever. Meluleki Safaris gave us memories of our lifetime. Scenery in this wild area is among the best I've seen in my whole life of tourism. We saw lots of elephants, crocodiles and many more animals. One of the most amazing features not to be missed is the waterfalls. Sandiso Mahlangu ( our driver) took us to a very interesting country side. Very friendly and sincere guy who made our visit truly special. See more..

    - Amazing landscape
    National Parks
    Matobo National Park image
Loved this National Park, such different landscape to other places. Rocky terrain and lush green surrounds. There are many caves within the park, many with ancient rock paintings by the San bushmen. We were lucky to see 6 large rhinos in the park too. Our guide, Adrian, knew a lot about the plant life within the park too. Cecil Rhodes final resting place is,also here. That costs 10US to visit but there's a fabulous view without going right up. Viewpoint called World's View. Breath taking. We didn't see many animals but the rhino were spectacular. See more..

    Speciality Museums
    Bulawayo Railway Museum image
What a treat. This place was much more than I hoped for. It had many trains from the beginning of rail history of Zimbabwe. The highlight of the museum is Mr Rhodes personal train car from the late 1800s. If you're in town this is a must see. It is run without any help from the government so if you can afford to make a donation to help with the upkeep. See more..

    - An excellent day tour of the Matapos.
Friday: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM Cultural Tours • Safaris • Nature & Wildlife Tours
    ThisAndThat Safaris image
We booked a day tour of the Matapos hills at short notice and were very impressed; Hebert the guide knew the area well and was able to explain it well. He also knew the national park staff which meant that we had an interesting detour to see some rock paintings that were well off the beaten track. I loved Pomongwe Cave; so peaceful. The walk up to World's View was great, and everywhere we saw more wildlife than we were expecting. Hebert had brought a large supply of water and in October the heat was intense, so we needed it. We enjoyed the Matapos day so much that we booked a half day tour to Khami the following day and that was also very good. Thembi was the guide and he was also able to explain what we were seeing in an interesting way. Overall; Very good quality tours; Very good guides, pick-ups were on time, both drivers were sensible and the cars were good with working seat belts and air con. Thanks to ThisAndThat for two excellent days. See more..

  15. 4.0 Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage and Research Centre (114 reviews)
    - Great place
    Nature & Wildlife Areas
Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage and Research Centre image
Chipangali is a haven for wild animals which have little hope for survival in the wild - creatures which have been orphaned, abandoned, injured, born in captivity or brought up unsuccessfully as pets. It is often the last refuge for those brought in sick or injured, and increasingly it is a sanctuary for confiscated animals. We invite children and animal lovers of all nationalities to visit our Animal Orphanage and take an educational tour to learn more about African wildlife. We have 150 animals and birds located in 40 acres. There is a tea room for snacks and a souvenir stall. Lots of shady places to sit and have a picnic. School groups and other large groups welcome. Open Tuesday to Sunday. Mondays Closed. Timing: 8 am to 5 pm. Open on all Public Holidays except Christmas Day. Admission: Adults 5$, Children 4$ School Groups: High School 4$, Primary School 3$, Teachers 4$ See more..

National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo image
This is a small, but very enjoyable art museum, with some high quality work. They also sponsor an art school, and there are pieces from the school as well. In the delightful courtyard, there are sculptures and also artists’ studios which can be visited by the public when the artist is there working. The building is interesting, too, all by itself! 17. 4.0 Bulawayo Town (28 reviews)
    - Loved this Town
    Historic Sites
    Bulawayo Town image
Bulawayo is a lovely town, beautiful architecture, wide ,wide streets so that Rhodes could turn his oxen cart round , the colonial Bulawayo Club is steeped in history, I could almost feel my family there. Oh & very friendly people. Hustle & bustle of the fresh markets, & the longest queues for busses I have ever seen. See more..
  18. 4.0 St Marys Cathedral (14 reviews)
    - Beautiful architecture and enjoyable service
Religious Sites • Churches & Cathedrals
    St Marys Cathedral image
I attended a wedding mass and Sunday mass at the Basilica. I am not Catholic nor local, and was amazed at how beautiful the church is. The Service was well delivered and despite not being 100% familiar with all the protocols taking place, it was an experience I feel hugely blessed for being able to enjoy. The church is on a busy road and a number of buses stop outside, meaning there is a lot of hustle and bustle. Apparently it has also become a hotspot for cars being broken into. I would recommend either walking from town or arriving early to get a car park out the front. I had some lovely conversations with parishioners and members of the leadership of the Basilica as well. See more..

  20. 4.0 Dananombe Ruins (7 reviews)
    - Wall face at Nalatale remarkable!
    Ancient Ruins
    Dananombe Ruins image
We only visited Nalatale on our way from Bulawayo to Harare. Turn at the Shangani road sign down the dirt road. Upon crossing the railroad tracks turn left. You'll see a sign at the turn which says "Nalatale Ruins 26 Km." This is correct. You will go down an isolated dirt road and after about 20km there will be another sign that links to the road toward the Danoumbe ruins. Keep going and then you see the last sign which tells you to turn left and the site is 2 km down that road. There is another sign at the site. The ruins are at the top of the hill, about a ten minute walk. There is only one structure but it has an impressive wall face with all five of the wall decorations - herring bone, checkered, band, chevron, and cord. The best stone wall in Zim! Great views from the top too! At the end of your visit, if you're heading to Gweru next keep going down that dirt road and you'll link up to the main road in about 20 km. See more..

    - Wonderful (except on the lions part)
    National Parks
    Tshabalala Game Sanctuary image
First time at the Sanctuary and we had given up.. when we were leaving around 1500hrs we saw some Wildebeest, then some Zebras and Deer. One must be of a keen eyesight.. otherwise you won't see anything... the Animals Blend well with the trees... Worse of traveling in a low car. Also the need to follow up on foot..the Animals are quite mobile... Overall the place is Great.. if you wan't to have a get together, a braai in the Bush.. On a sad Note the Caged lions, we saw 3 dead, one that looked sick and one Lively one!! See more..

More than 6000 years ago leaved the San or Bushman people who gathered fruits and hunted animals barefooted. They lived in groups of up to 40 . They left records and information enough which depicted their lifestyle. The tallest was, is 1 meter. They eventually were named the Nomadic Hunters because of the system which was adapted to their kind of hunting. A lot of interesting stories are shared during a day or overnight visit. See more..
