I’ve been twice now having googled for a good close spot to watch the sunset. It wasn’t wrong. Very easy elevated walkways. Mosquitoes immediately attack as soon as the sunsets so wear bug spray. Also they put the gate up at 8 so if the sunsets at 8:25, park on the street around the park. See more..

Richard runs an awesome operation! Very communicative during the booking process and gave us exactly what we were looking for in our trip. We did the 3/4 day inshore and he had us on trout 15 minutes after we boarded his boat. He knows his stuff and kept us moving with the bite throughout the day. This park is a little known gem. It has a few trails and picnic spots and there is a huge board walk that stretches over the marsh and there are a number of places to fish. It even has a public restroom and plenty of parking. But what I found most interesting on the water. We had a great experience here kayaking with the Northeast Florida Sierra Club. There is a good area to put your kayak into the water and the kayak trail is pretty well marked. It is subject to the flow of the tides, so its important to check the tide tables before you go. We saw a lot of wildlife and there was an area where you could pull your kayak out of the water and take a break. See more..

Everything was above and beyond on our expectations! From the moment we arrived we were greeted with kindness, respect and professionalism! We received bottles of water, and a sweet little box of delicious chocolates! We were there celebrating my birthday and received the kindest note and more chocolates in the room. Our room was stunning! We had a full living room, king bed and TWO balconies that were overlooking the ocean! The next morning we both enjoyed massages at the spa, that literally were the BEST messages we’ve ever had (and we’ve had a lot!). We enjoyed our time so much at the spa that we booked our return trip in April! I can’t recommend enough! Truly a perfect get away!! I felt very safe COVID protocols have been implemented! All staff were wearing masks, there was sanitizer strategically placed throughout the building, the room was immaculately cleaned upon arrival! See more..

Great beach to visit - enjoyed 4 hours on a Saturday in May 2021 with 80 degree sunny weather! The orange flags were up, so we swam near a lifeguard stand as the wind really kicked up the waves. The sand is soft, clean and there is no seaweed. The only challenge is finding parking - would recommend taking an uber to be dropped off. Lots of places to enjoy lunch about 3 to 4 blocks from the beach. See more..

Locating the park was easy enough but trying to figure out where the entrance was not because there were no signs to the parking lot! But eventually I did figure it out and was able to enjoy myself eventually. It is a small and peaceful park with a small stream filled with turtles sunbathing during sunny days. It has a couple of benches and a sanded trail that winds around the park. There are lots of trees which should provide a shade during the long and hot summer months. See more..

The old Selva Marina country club is no more. The clubhouse has been torn down in the golf course has been bulldozed. It is emerging from the ashes as the Atlantic Beach Country Club. Same location but with a brand-new clubhouse and a brand-new redesigned golf course. The old Selva Marina was a real gem, and the site of the former Jacksonville open golf tournament. Jack Nicholas and many other famous golfers have played on the former course. All of us former members of the Selva Marina country club, are excitedly looking forward to the opening of the new Atlantic Beach country club in November. Major tradition live on. See more..
