Beautiful, serene place to take in God’s glorious sunset
I’ve been twice now having googled for a good close spot to watch the sunset. It wasn’t wrong. Very easy elevated walkways. Mosquitoes immediately attack as soon as the sunsets so wear bug spray. Also they put the gate up at 8 so if the sunsets at 8:25, park on the street around the park.

Great place to view the sunset!
I was looking for a place to view the sunset...the name says it all! The park is actually Tide Views Preserve, and the board walk pier located within it is Sunset Pier. (and the sign with the fish says Dutton Preserve). It's fairly easy to find with W 1st street and Tulip in AB, plus you can see the pier when going over the bridge. Nice fishing dock, kayak docks, Adirondack chairs. There were several people fishing and others arriving to watch the sunset. Follow the paved path to the right of the bathrooms and then make a left to get to Sunset Pier. There are also some other trails to explore as well.

Gorgeous Hidden Gem
Stumbled across this spot by accident, and what a treat! So close to the city, but gloriously secluded. There is a (mostly) wood paved walkway to follow, with informational signs regarding native flora and fauna. Two extremely long piers allow you to walk all the way out to the middle of a wetland, where you can view wildlife, fish, or just enjoy a gorgeous sunset. Very tranquil, and lots of wildlife, including little crabs scuttling all over the place. Highly recommend.
