Great Place for Kayaking

This park is a little known gem. It has a few trails and picnic spots and there is a huge board walk that stretches over the marsh and there are a number of places to fish. It even has a public restroom and plenty of parking. But what I found most interesting on the water. We had a great experience here kayaking with the Northeast Florida Sierra Club. There is a good area to put your kayak into the water and the kayak trail is pretty well marked. It is subject to the flow of the tides, so its important to check the tide tables before you go. We saw a lot of wildlife and there was an area where you could pull your kayak out of the water and take a break.

    Intracoastal Views
Easy 1.4 mile loop with several nice views of the Intracoastal. Fiddler crabs in abundance. If you visit in summer, wear bug spray-- it's a must.

    Paddle boarding at Dutton Island
Beach Life Rentals delivered paddle boards and picked them up again the conclusion for our trip to Dutton Island. They were great. There is a marked kayak path in the salt marsh. We pretty much followed that path. It was a bit buggy, even in March.
