3 Star Places To Visit in Krabi Province, Thailand (8)
3.5Ao Nang Beach(7.846 reviews) - Good beach Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Beaches
Great beach for the morning where you can get some shade under the beach side trees but this disappears as the sun swings round about lunchtime. Then its full on sunshine! Beach is noisy from long tail boats leaving Ao Nang ferry point and this is consistant throughout the day. What is handy are the 7-11's across the beach road if you want cheap drinks and ice creams. There are beach vendors but they are not persistent. Just give a polite 'no thank you' and they tend not to call back. Beach gets very busy at sunset as the whole town seems to appear with drinks and cameras to catch the wonderful sunsets.See more..
Our boat stopped at one of the green mountains in the middle of the sea. When we looked more closely, we noticed that the mountain was full of monkeys. The tour guide threw food to the monkeys, they swam and took the food out of the water. It was an interesting scene! (Photos and videos were taken in different years and on different trips)See more..
3.5Noppharathara Beach(1.290 reviews) - A 7 minute walk from our hotel Beaches
We walked from our hotel to Nopp Beach on Saturday morning. A few locals had already arrived whilst others had left their piles of food in various places, perhaps to mark their place. We walked across a red bridge to get here from Apasari Hotel, so if you see it you will know that you're on the right track. There's shops & restaurants opposite, so you can stop, shop, & snack. Also there's a public toilet just across the road, you will need 5 baht to use it. We hadn't got one & were trying to use a 10 baht coin but it doesn't work. Prince charming popped up from nowhere & scanned us through with his card. Thanks to that lovely man! It was early & quiet when we went, I should imagine it would be a bit more lively if there were more locals around. Whatever, it's always worth a visit as you never know what you may find, & what else are holidays for if not for exploring?See more..
If you take a day trip from Krabi to Khlong Thom, you are likely joining local tour for this underground hot spring. It’s like an outdoor onsen in Japan, where you enjoy the soothing warm water coming from earth’s surface. You can enjoy the songs from birds around you (which might be less loud than the water cascade). Or else, have meditation if you can concentrate. Since the Hot Springs Waterfall can be more crowded than you wish near lunch time, your guide might suggest going early in the morning. But then, you have to miss the morning serenity of another beautiful site Emerald Pool nearby. You can’t choose to visit both the first thing in the morning. Make your choice; we picked the Emerald Pool for our first destination in the morning.See more..
I am not a big beach fan and we were staying at the Anda Lanta resort, which is literally at the end of the track to the entrance to the trail leading to this little adventure, so it was a perfect opportunity for us. Unfortunately, you have to pass a so-called elephant sanctuary that claims to be ethical but is most definitely not, offering elephant rides and we saw them hitting the elephant. We went in early December, so the waterfall was still flowing nicely. The path is a bit slippery, and we were advised to stick to walking through the river which some of us did while one of us walked the path, it didn't make much difference. The cave although small was an added bonus. Very few people were doing it when we did it which was also nice.See more..
we visited Saladin Pier due to the reports we recieved about the Fish restaurants running along the Pier. we were not disappointed, it is a bustelling resort area with a wonderful Vibe. And all the seafood restaurants seem to be well attended with many happy customers. I would definately recommend a visit to the Pier if you are anywhere in the vicinitySee more..
3.5Koh Lanta Old Town Pier(24 reviews) - A quiet stroll and playground fun Points of Interest & Landmarks • Piers & Boardwalks • Lookouts
We enjoyed a quiet stroll, after sunset, through old town. The Chinese lanterns look beautiful between the shops and shine softly in the night sky. Although, slightly unkept, my 6 and 3 year old loved the playground! They were also able to walk all the way down and up the ‘old town’ street, without feeling tired. We also had dinner at Pinto Restaurant - a tucked away gem.See more..
We played 18 holes and had a very nice experience. Golf course is not the best I played in Thailand, but still offers a decent golf course with some trickier holes. We had two of the best caddies I’ve ever had, mixing laughs with really good suggestions. Payed around 3300 baht for everything.See more..
