5.0Nagi of Mekong Cruise(92 reviews) - Highlight of my trip Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Boat Tours
If you consider doing the cruise I can absolutely recommend doing it! The best part is that you are going to meet other travellers of all age groups and from all over the world and at the end of the cruise they are going to feel like family. It was absolutely worth paying the extra money because it will be much more comfortable, you will be served very tasty food and it includes an accomodation. In addition to that you will learn many things about Lao culture and history during your cruise and make interesting stops along the way. Generally it is a beautiful way to travel Laos and time is going to fly by as the views get better and better. Thank you for the flawless experience.See more..

This is a huge park with multiple access points. The easiest entry is about 1 hour drive south from Chiang Rai. Admission was 100b to 30b for the car. The only attraction at this entry point is Pu Kaeng waterfall. As far as waterfalls go it was nothing special, but it was a very pleasant and uncrowded place. There is a nature trail which follows the river to each of 6 or 7 drops before turning away and looping through the forest. The portion away from the river is not as well maintained as the rest, so if youre walking the loop (about 1 hour plus time to splash in the pools) watch for the trail carefully, as it may fade out on you. Bathrooms were clean and I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the whole area. Did not see any litter at all. There is a restaurant on site, but unfortunately at the time I was there they were only selling water and snacks. See more..
5.0Wat Hiranyawat(2 reviews) - Biggest bamboo woven Buddha in Thailand Wednesday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Religious Sites
Located in Tambon Ko Chang of Amphoe Mae Sai, this is the home of Phra Sing San Chana Man, the biggest bamboo woven Buddha of Thailand. You will hardy find any western tourists here. But since I'm such a nice guy, I will reveal its location to the TA community by writing this review ;-) This is one of the most beautiful temples I've been to in Thailand. A true hidden gem. The temple complex is made of various large elephants, one very big on with the Buddha sitting on it. The details on it are amazing. The temple itself is made entirely out of bamboo wood too. Entrance to the temple is free.See more..

5.0Lanchang Easy Trip (Easy Trip)(1 review) - Booking this boat trip on the online was incredibly seamless and convenient Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Multi-day Tours • Boat Tours • Day Trips
I learned about this company while reading “lonely planet south east Asia“ which is a tour guide for backpackers and those who like to save money while traveling. I contacted the company online and with in a day or so they responded as well as a requested to continue chatting via the convenient encrypt platform, WhatsApp. It was through this application that I was able to book my river trip with Miss Noi. She confirmed the time and the amount of fee for the trip… She reconfirmed within the week of my travel… And followed up the day before via WhatsApp. Incredible service. Lastly, they have competitive pricing for a day and two day Tours via boat. The price package also includes picking you up at the hotel taking your across the border; have you fill out applications (payment of visa for Laos is not included; You have to pay that separate), box lunch on boat. Follow up with all the details with the company.See more..
Not suggesting you should walk up to the temple, take some transport. The temple was serene and quiet when we visited, so had a good look around and took some photo's and paid our respects. Views from the top are great.See more..
