   This is the seat of the Anglican Diocese of the Tabora Region, roughly 10,000 sq. miles, or the size of South Carolina. The current bishop, The Rt. Rev. Elias Chakupewa, is the 3ed Bishop of the Diocese. He was consecrated and installed on 30 May 2011. There are currently 34 parishes and 47 clergy in the Diocese of approx. 14,000 members. The Diocese is a member of the Anglican Church of Tanzania (ACT) and a member of the world wide Anglican Communion of 55,000,000 members. Services are held on Sunday at 10:30 am in Swahili.
