  1. 5.0 Ngorongoro Crater (5.976 reviews)
    - Great services from Local company Nafika Tours, 4 day Tanzania safari!
Saturday: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Geologic Formations
    Ngorongoro Crater image
We just finished our safari in Tanzania with local company Nafika Tours, Elias and his people were simply wonderful. They took full control of all the aspects of our safari that everything went smoothly with no glitches. Livin our safari guide taught us so much about the numerous animals we encountered in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro - the parks that we visited making the safari super interesting. We had a nice and luxury car with everything inside All kind drinks and we also able to charge our phone in the vehicle. I have no regrets for taking Elias’s choice of luxurious lodges. We had an enjoyable time, relaxing in premium locations nestled close to the wild safari action. We had a very good time much more than we expected and highly recommend Nafika Tours for Tanzanian safaris, They also have the best price for your safari compared to other agents! See more..
  2. 5.0 Easy Travel & Tours Ltd (3.236 reviews)
    - Trip of a lifetime <3
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Cultural Tours • Safaris • Nature & Wildlife Tours
Easy Travel & Tours Ltd image
Earlier this month we went on the trip of a lifetime: a week-long safari, where we visited Tarangire, Lake Manyara & Serengeti National Parks and the Ngorongoro crater, followed by a week of relaxation and a bit of sightseeing on Zanzibar. As if the beautiful landscapes of Tanzania in itself aren't enough, the wildlife will leave you speechless. We got to see the Big Five, cheetahs, servals, a caracal and many other animals. We were also lucky enough to see the wildebeests cross the Mara river on their migration to the North. An amazing sight. Although we didn't choose Easy Travel on purpose, we booked through a travel agent back home who turned out to be working with them, they were absolutely wonderful. No detail was left unattended. We got a personal visit in the lodge on arrival in Arusha to go over the itinerary and were also greeted back after our safari to hear about our experiences and any possible tips or suggestions. All the accomodations were fabulous, they were clean, safe and beautifully located. Every (and I really mean every!) member of staff in the (tented) lodges made us feel very welcome. But our safari wouldn't have been the same without our guide/driver Gilbert Mariki. He was a perfect host, proud of what his country has to offer (rightfully so) and keen to share it. He genuinely seemed to be enjoying himself while showing us around. He has great driving skills and extensive knowledge of all the animals. He was also very patient. Every time it took us a while to locate the animal he had spotted oh so easily (while driving no less), he took the time to make sure we saw it as well. He let us set the pace of the day, while making sure we stayed on schedule and got to see everything. Asante sana Easy Travel and Gilbert Mariki for giving us this unforgettable experience! 3. 5.0 Gosheni Safaris Africa (2.357 reviews)
    - An amazing experience, highly recommend Gosheni!
    Saturday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Safaris • Nature & Wildlife Tours
    Gosheni Safaris Africa image
Gosheni Safaris gave us the trip of a lifetime and I highly recommend using them for a Tanzania Safari! We were referred to Gosheni Safaris by friends who went on safari for their honeymoon last year. They came back raving about not only the safari itself but about their guide and experience with Gosheni. Gosheni provides an elevated experience that you can tailor to your budget! The truck was clean, comfortable and tailored with an electric fridge for refreshing beverages throughout the drives. Gosheni also provides an elevated lunch service compared to a lot of the other tour companies which we appreciated so we didn’t eat sandwiches for 12 days straight. William was great in helping guide us with where to stay and for how long. He was very prompt with responses and accommodating as we made changes to our timeline and accommodations. We were able to meet him prior to starting our safari which was so nice! Our guide Albert was fantastic. His experience and knowledge was showcased throughout the entire safari. He was able to point out everything with detail and knew exactly were to go on game rides. He answered all our questions which we greatly appreciated because we had a lot of them! He was personable and proactive in making sure we were able to see everything we could in our time there. We spent 12 days and visited 5 different areas/parks. Being able to drive and see the country as well as the parks was awesome. We saw e from the migration in the Ndutu Conservation to a Cheetah hunt in Tanagire. We will definitely be requesting Albert for our next trip! See more..
  4. 5.0 Suricata Safaris (2.059 reviews)
    - Excellent day trip to Tarangire NP from Arusha
    Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Multi-day Tours • Safaris • Nature & Wildlife Tours
    Suricata Safaris image
An amazing day trip safari to Tarangire National Park. Apart from seeing an abundance of wildlife that exceeded my expectations, our safari guide and driver, Rocky, was such a friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable guy spotting animals, answering questions, bringing a great energy to the vehicle and drove us back to Arusha safely as well. The vehicle meant everyone had a window seat and the roof popped up for standing viewing too. Our picnic lunch in the park was delicious and plenty of water available for drinking. Big thanks to Ali for coming to my hotel in Arusha the night before to get payment and brief me a bit on the day. I joined an existing multi day safari group on their Tarangire day - so as a solo traveler was welcomed into a group for the day. Ali arranged a driver to take me from my hotel in Arusha at 7am and meet rocky and the others near Tarangire (around 8:45). Plenty of time for game viewing before and after lunch and then was driven back to Arusha with the group arriving around 5pm (Saturdays in Arusha town are busy). Would highly recommend Suricata Safaris for this day trip (and the girls seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed their multi day camping safari trip too!) See more..
  5. 5.0 Tarangire National Park (1.721 reviews)

    Tarangire National Park image
This was our second time with Halisi African Adventures and it was perfect. Everything went seamlessly. From communication with reservations, payments, pick-up at the airport and the actual tour was seamless We booked 2 days safari to Tarangire and Lake Manyama and everything was perfectly We were very lucky that the company managed to get us guide Frank again. It was great to see him again . His effusive charm, vast knowledge and great driving skills impressive made the trip very special. At Lake Manyara we were lucky to see tree climbing lions and had an awesome time at Olduvai Museum. Halisi African Adventures organizes the best accoms and I better review them on their pages See more..
  6. 5.0 Roy Safaris (1.666 reviews)
    - Tanzania & Kenya personalised safari
Saturday: 8:45 AM - 2:00 PM Cultural Tours • Safaris • Walking Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Photography Tours
    Roy Safaris image
I designed my own itinerary and made a booking with Roys Safaris in 2019. It finally came to fruition! The itinerary incorporated Tanzania & Kenya- hoping to catch the migration. We had a wonderful guide in Frank. He was excellent in giving us so many opportunities to capture what an African Safari has to offer. He was knowledgeable and humorous and every day with him was a delight. With the travel industry in disarray we were sent the full itinery only 9 days before leaving despite many attempts to contact Roys. This delay in itinerary created much stress as within this time, we needed to organise flights, multiple visas, money transfers and various other tasks before leaving home. I do empathise and understand the difficulty tour operators had to face during this dreadful time, being in the industry myself and without work for 2 years, but, like anywhere communication is the key. Although the tour was booked and deposit paid in 2019 one of our accomodation choices was now booked out and the package price had increased by 12%! As we did not receive a specific dollar breakdown it was difficult to assess where this substantial increase had come. Being so close to departure we did not want to create extra angst. A tailormade safari is expensive so I was concerned about this price difference. A tailormade or small group safari is ideal and Roys can facilitate those options for you. Enjoy! See more..
  7. 5.0 Shadows of Africa (1.074 reviews)
    - Amazing safari with excellent organization! Highly recommend Shadows of Africa for organizing your safari
Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Cultural Tours • Safaris • Private Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Day Trips
    Shadows of Africa image
After a careful review of all the safari companies and their offer, we choose Shadows of Africa for our three days safari in Tanzania’s northern circuit (Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Ngorongoro). It was the best choice we could have made. Everything was perfect from the planning of the trip side by side with Alona (Safari Specialist) to the game drives that our excellent guide Loma contribute to make special. If you happen to travel with Shadows of Africa, I would highly recommend to ask for Loma as a guide: he has been in the business for more than ten years and always find the best place to spot wild animals and share interesting stories about Maasai culture (he is actually born in a Maasai village), wild animals habits and Tanzania. Regarding the lodge we spent 2 nights at Foresight Eco Lodge in Karatu: this lodge was brand new, staff was very friendly and always willing to go for the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable, rooms were clean and provided with all comfort (I would advice to bring your own hairdryer and bathroom set though) and food was delicious. We went in August and it was a little cold at night and early in the morning so I recommend bringing appropriate clothes. We will come back for sure to see the wonders of serengeti and climb Kilimanjaro. A presto! See more..
  8. 5.0 Lion King Adventures (1.020 reviews)
    - Excellent Guide and Safari
    Open now - 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Multi-day Tours • Safaris • Private Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Day Trips
    Lion King Adventures image
We did a 5 day safari trip with Lion King in December 2022, spending two days in the Serengeti and a day each in Ndutu, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara.

Macha was our safari guide and he was absolutely amazing. He has a wealth of experience across each of the national parks, found us the Big 5 within 24 hours and was able to spot animals that another guide easily could have missed. He had extensive knowledge about the animals we spotted and knew exactly what areas in the park maximised our chances of seeing certain species. More importantly, he was an incredibly kind person with good values. I would recommend anyone looking to do a safari with the Lion King to request him - you will not be disappointed. Thank you Macha, you made all the difference to our safari experience.

In terms of the company itself, booking with the Lion King was easy, they pulled together multiple itineraries for us, changing accommodation, parks and flights on request. Their jeeps are excellent quality and all in all, we had a great experience.

    - Unforgettable trip, highly recommended!

    AAA Express Adventure image
We went on a budget (camping) 7-day safari tour to Lake Manyara, Lake Natron, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Eyasi. It was a really unforgettable trip, with a great mixture of incredible landscapes, awe-inspiring animal sightings, and even a touch of culture shock with the Hadzebe bushmen around Lake Eyasi. Mr Jalala is a trustworthy and meticulous organiser, he was very responsive and available to help, even to arrange extra transport and logistics that did not bring any money to him personally. He negotiated with us a very reasonable price and assigned us a nice team of driver (Peter) and cook (Mike). Both were fun, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to make our trip really enjoyable. The accommodation was in basic but clean camps with helpful staff. The highlight was the camp at Lake Natron, I'll never forget the incredible view over the lake and the expanse plain at sunrise. Highly recommended! See more..

    House of Gems image
The tour of the gemstones of Tanzania was very fascinating, especially for a geology lover! They included the unrefined and history of all of the gems, and the staff providing the history was knowledge, friendly and very engaging. The showroom contained a nice variety of every kind and the staff that helped me pick out a few items were very accommodating regarding what I was looking for and my price point. I highly recommend stopping in for any jewelry needs while in Arusha! See more..

Juma also recommended to visit a bushmen village as well as arts and crafts which we loved. Samuel and Hamisi, our guides were very professional and always helpful. Their kindness will always be linked to Tanzania. They were both very good at showing animals, giving many explanations and context. Mwewe Expeditions image
You would have to go a long, long way to find a guide (and a companion) to match Sariko... Our safari was a trip for which we saved long and hard, and he made it better for us than we ever dreamed possible. Not only was he punctual and efficient, not only was his vehicle comfortable and his suggestions perfect, he could spot animals at distances of what seemed like kilometers, he was fun to be with, his advice was always right and his company added to the trip. Before the trip we searched for a tour guide, but instead we found a true friend. See more..
  18. 5.0 Meijo Safaris (71 reviews)
    - Fantastic budget safari
Saturday: Safaris • Sightseeing Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
    Meijo Safaris image
We did a 3 day group camping budget safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater with Meijo Safaris. Daudi, who was my first point of contact and organiser, was fantastic! We needed a 3am pick up from Moshi and he organised it without a hitch and gave us a great briefing before the trip. James who was our guide for the safari trip was great, full of knowledge, jokes and you can feel his passion for all things animal and plant related. We saw everything we were keen on seeing and James went out of his way to allow us to spot even the rarely seen animals like the rhino! It was the trip of a lifetime for me! Another highlight was camping in the parks (we spotted hyenas from our tents!) which was surprisingly comfortable with washrooms and showers and provided tents, pillows, sleeping bags and camping mattresses. The food prepared by Tito was put of this world! Best we had on our whole vacation. I would def recommend the safari we did if you are keen on an affordable, great and laid back safari experience. - Trip of a lifetime with Swala Safaris

    Swala Safaris image
Our family (two adults and two teens) had the good fortune of choosing Swala Safaris to plan our trip of a lifetime in Tanzania. Before leaving Canada (and over many months), Stephen answered all of our MANY questions in an extremely prompt and detailed way. Our arrival in Kilimanjaro was seamless, with our first tour guide Sundy waiting for us upon arrival. The next week was pure magic, with both Sundy and our next guide Joaquim answering our every question and making sure we were well taken care of at every lodge and tenting camp that we stopped at. Both Sundy and Joaquim were keen to answer any and all questions we had - and there were many!!!! They both had an unbelievable amount of knowledge to share with us, and their dedication to the conservation of this beautiful part of the world was easy to see. The lodgings that were chosen for our different nights’ stay were all clean and well suited to our needs, with a particular favourite being the Pure Tented Camp at the end of our safari. The truck that we rode in was comfortable and made seeing all of the sights easy for us all. Stephen was also extremely helpful in tracking down a bag that was a week late arriving from Canada and had it flown in to meet us while we were out on safari. If we could give Swala Safaris more than five stars, we would! Thank you Stephen, Sundy, and Joaquim for making sure that all of our hopes for this trip came true! See more..

Tazama Africa Tours and Safari image
For five extraordinary days we were privileged to be guided by the amazing Praise, whose knowledge of animals is unbelievable. My husband is a photographer and wanted to spend time getting the best shots. Praise was incredibly patient and went to extraordinary lengths to find him the best locations and angles for the wildlife. In scenes straight out of The Lion King, we got very close to a lion standing proudly on a rock and watched him for ages. One afternoon when we got caught in hectic storm, we put our full faith in Praise to safely navigate the muddy roads out of the Serengeti. It's the guide who makes all the difference to your safari and Praise's driving, knowledge and experience ensured our trip was just so special. We thought this safari would be a once in a lifetime trip but it was just so incredible we want to go again - and there's no doubt we'll book with Tazama. See more..

We traveled to Tanzania for our holiday and went on an incredible safari organized by Halisi African Adventures. They organized an incredible itinerary for us and they were incredibly responsive, giving us all the information we needed to ensure we were prepared for a great trip. We spent 8 days traveling through Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, Empakaai walking safari & Lake Eyasi - seeing an amazing variety of animals and staying at beautiful lodges in the evening. Our guide, Brighton really elevated the safari to another level - he had incredible knowledge of the area and a great ability to spot animals, in addition to being a blast to spend time with and extremely organized (he knew our itinerary better than we did). The whole thing was perfect - if you want to see Tanzania the right way, definitely book a safari with Halisi African Adventures! See more..
