3.5Banos Arabes(27 reviews) - A small insight Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
While you are wandering around Ceuta take a few minutes to visit the restored Roman baths. Although they are very small, they will give you an insight into the world of the hammam (baths). Entrance is free and there is always someone on site who is knowledgeable on the history of not only the baths but of Ceuta.See more..
Located on the Plaza de Africa, this pretty cathedral dominated the one side of the square that opens up to a pedestrian street. It was Sunday (closed) so we did not go inside.See more..
3.5Oficina de Turismo de Ceuta(21 reviews) - Attractive large modern building but the way in is not obvious. Spent < 1 hour Visitor Centers
Thought it was closed at first but when I found the right piece of glass to push open, I found all that I wanted. They have a very good booklet, full of information on all the best sights and a map. As we were pressed for time we didn't speak to anyone as they were busy with other people.See more..
3.5Cala del Desnarigado(15 reviews) - Un rincón con encanto. Spent < 1 hour Beaches
See more..
This building is very impressive from the outside so we walked in to find a security scanner and a big ugly concrete room. We asked for a tour and were asked to wait for about 5 minutes before a gentleman approached us and showed us the upstairs. We were very glad we asked and although his English was poor and our Spanish even worse, we were able to establish dates and names of painters, leaders and battles. It is worth it to ask for the tour as the rooms are very impressive, especially the circular stair case with the dome roof. There are highly decorated meeting rooms, a small chapel and lots of historical art works. There was no charge for the tour and the guide would not accept any tip. He indicated he was just glad to show off the rooms to interested tourists. So, ask and you may receive!See more..
