We came to Ceuta over a day by ferry from Algeciras, this ferry connection takes about 1-1,5 hour. It is easy to walk from ferry terminal in Ceuta to the town, no need to have a transfer. In our 5 hours in Ceuta we could walk through the most of old town and see the most of sights, take a lunch break and make some shopping. Town is interesting to visit. And there is a number of excursions available to Morocco when in town. See more..

Its looks from outside only give you a hint. It's a wow factor within. The golden effect is spectacular and the whole church is a feast of colour. Really enlightening. So glad we found it. See more..

    Puerta Califal de Ceuta image
The main reason I visited Ceuta was to go to this so-called ancient architectonic museum, but instead, it looked like it disappeared even though I was able to located in my google map I could not find any way in. No one there seems to know about this "tourist attraction". After like 45 minutes of walking around the area I asked several security officers in the surrounding area and those int he entrance of the Royal Walls which must he part of this place however the name Puerta Califal did not resonate to them at all, even though they thought I was making that up until I showed them the google map. I mean is this a Joke? After wandering around a little more I found the entrance but was totally closed and dirty and looking like an abandoned place. I called the city offices but no one answers. I am surprised of seeing the people's comments on internet about this place because it seems to be closed and abandoned. In summary if you are planning to travel to Ceuta to see this, I recommend investigating first. See more..
