-Great experience and amazing staff!
Friday: 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM Multi-day Tours • River Rafting & Tubing • Canyoning & Rappelling Tours • Water Sports • Kayaking & Canoeing
Great rafting experience on the Soca River. Good for the beginner/intermediate rafter. The staff is super friendly, helpful and professional. You're welcome to get out and swim at some points, and you take a couple of breaks. The first one they turn the raft upside down and hang it from a rock to create a slide, and the second one you can jump off a 6 meter high rock. Everyone seemed to be having a great time! See more..

-Awesome canyoning trip in Kozjac
Friday: 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Canyoning & Rappelling Tours • Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks • Kayaking & Canoeing
Today we went on a canyoning trip in kozjac with our guide Ricky. He is very passionated about his job and made us have fun and feel safe the whole time. During the canyoning trip he tells you a lot about the nature, history and other nice to know facts. The equipment we had to wear was very good. Especially the shoes were nice to walk on and were great for having grip while jumping and sliding through the canyon. Ricky never made you feel like you had to jump from the rocks, you can decide what feels good for you. I think that is super important and gives this trip a relaxt vibe. Thankyou Ricky for the great experience! See more..

- 5.0 Soca Valley (205 reviews)
-Soca trail ! Must do !
Bodies of Water • Valleys
Staying in Bovec, we took the 9.30 bus to Trenta to start the Soča trail there. You could start one stage higher up but we heard from other travellers it was not worth the extra kms. And yes, we had about 25km of mainly descent towards Bovec. No difficult hike (strenuous) but through wood, over rocky paths and in 30gr temperature didn’t make it easy neither. But we rally loved this excellent trail through the valley on the river banks. It took us 7h in total with some short breaks. So it fills up nearly a full day. Is part of the alps adriata trail and well signposted. Must do when you like to take a hike See more..
- 5.0 River Soca (193 reviews)
-Stunning Soča Scenery
Spent < 1 hour Bodies of Water
We hiked the Soča River Trail from its source all the way to Tolmin. We had dozens of “WOW moments” every day. We found spectacular scenery, breathtaking bridges and wonderful waterfalls along the way. We stayed in Na Logu v Trenti in Trenta; Camp Korita near Soča; Tatjana apartments in Bovec; Fedrig s Prenočišči in Kobarid and at the Hotel Dvorec in Tolmin. I can recommend them all. We hiked the route in 7 days, although it can easily be done in 4 or 5 days. Advice: Take your time and visit attractions off the “official” trail. See more..
- 5.0 X Point (168 reviews)
-Fantastic canyoning and white water rafting!
Friday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Canyoning & Rappelling Tours • Boat Tours • Gear Rentals • Kayaking & Canoeing
We did canyoning and whitewater rafting with the legendary Gregor as our instructor both times (and the "rookie" joined us canyoning - sorry can not remember his name). An easy 5 star! Booking was easy, all the staff are great and friendly. And Gregor was a great guide with a high level of safety to calm anyone's nerves that may be doing this for their first time. Highly recommend X Point to anyone! See more..
- 5.0 RockVelo (118 reviews)
-Great scenery, great single track rides and a professional service
Friday: 8:00 AM - 11:45 AM, 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM Bike Tours • Gear Rentals • Wine Tours & Tastings
When it comes to eBikes, there are only two types of people. The ones who love them and the ones who haven't tried them yet. And where better to try them than in the beautiful Vipava valley. It's just an awesome place to cycle regardless of your skill level or motivation. You can get your heart pumping on some steep climbs and great single track descents. Or you can take it a bit easier and decide to enjoy the views, have a few more stops along the way and sip on the occasional drink from the vineyards and grab a bite of the local produce. We've used RockVelo's services many times and they are always professional, helpful and greet you with a smile. And they make sure the tour is exactly what you're looking for. Highly recommended! - 5.0 Franja Partisan Hospital (116 reviews)
-Nice but out of the way
Friday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Historic Sites • Monuments & Statues
Spend an hour in this nice open air museum. All information in English. Definitely worth visiting, but you probably need to drive a while because it is situated quite decentrally. Not all points of interest were open. See more..
- 5.0 Maya Team (75 reviews)
-Brilliant Organisation!
Friday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Canyoning & Rappelling Tours • Bike Tours • Kayaking & Canoeing
We booked three activities: whitewater rafting, canyoning and kayaking for our family of three. All the instructors were excellent, really knew their stuff, very safety-conscious, gave good and timely briefings so that you didn’t have to remember too much information at a time, and were free with their encouragement! Very nice people and I would strongly recommend this company. The restaurant on site is pretty good too and a nice reward for a morning’s effort. The surroundings are as good as it gets. See more..
- 5.0 Wajdusna (55 reviews)
-Highly recommended! Hiking and paraglyding!
Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Parasailing & Paragliding • Bike Tours • Hiking & Camping Tours • Wine Tours & Tastings
Although we were very last minute with our booking and Wajdusna was actually fully booked Jani still did everything he could and found a guide and 2 pilots to give us an experience we will not easy forget. Dean was the perfect hiking-guide, taking us on a hike over the beautiful mountain ridge with amazing views. Matias and Mika then took over. It was immediately clear that the two pilots for the paragliding were very experienced. They recognised our boundaries and knew when to be adventurous or cautious. A must-do for everyone visiting the Vipava valley! See more..
- 4.5 Skocjanske Jame (1.810 reviews)
-Beautiful cave
Friday: 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Caverns & Caves
Friendly tourguides, the cave itself is super big and very pretty. When going here you might want to bring a jacket with you because it was very cold in the cavesystem. When we went here it was 12° in the caves, and outside 32°. Only downside is you are not allowed to take pictures inside the caves. See more..
- 4.5 Tartini Square (Tartinijev trg) (1.310 reviews)
-The true heart of the city
Points of Interest & Landmarks
A lovely picturesque harbour leads you directly into this square. The square is pretty big and has a number of public places to sit, bars and places to eat as well as some shops. The architecture is just wonderful, particularly the town hall. There is also an impressive statue of local hero Tartini - the 18th century violinist and composer. See more..
- 4.5 Kozjak Waterfalls (669 reviews)
-A spectacular waterfall
Spent 2-3 hours Waterfalls
Kozjak waterfall is located near the town of Kobarid. Park the car in Camp Lazar or Camp Koren. After a walking route of about 20 minutes, you reach a toll booth, and from there you continue walking for another 5 minutes to the waterfall. See more..
- 4.5 Piran Town Walls (644 reviews)
-Unforgettable
Friday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks
On a hot summer day, I am only with a small number of tourists at the highest point above the city. We look down on Piran illuminated by the sun and surrounded by the sparkling sea. For a moment, we become the guardians of this ancient city, but WE ARE armed only with cameras. Unforgettable! I try to capture these wonderful moments in my memory. See more..
- 4.5 Tolmin Gorge (554 reviews)
-A must-see in the area
Geologic Formations
This is a must-see in the area of Tolmin. Definitely make sure you have enough time to visit this place. We would recommend around two hours to take the time to visit it. One of the car parks, the further away one is free and the walk is easy from it. If you come after a certain time, it is cheaper (8€ for us around 5pm). The staff at the welcome was incredible and the map given makes it easy to find you way. Enjoy this gorgeous and magical place! See more..
- 4.5 Kobarid Museum (Kobariski muzej) (535 reviews)
-All You Ever Wanted To Know
Spent 1-2 hours Speciality Museums
Kobarid Museum displays exhibits on the events that occurred during World War I on the Soška fronta - Isonzo Front. It covers two and a half years of static fighting and portrays in detail the 12th Isonzobattle, also known as the Caporetto breakthrough. The latter is one of the major battles in the history of mankind having taken place in hillyterrain. See more..
- 4.5 Church of St. George (Cerkev sv. Jurija) in Piran (521 reviews)
-Well worth the Climb.
Spent < 1 hour Religious Sites
This catholic Church, built in the Venetian Renaissance architectural style dominates the entire city. It is well worth the climb to get to it and there is a reasonable charge of €2 to access the Bell Tower. This is a significant climb up wooden steps but when at the top you are rewarded with fantastic views of the town and coast. See more..
- 4.5 Skocjan Caves Park (256 reviews)
-Important UNESCO site
Friday: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas • Parks
We visited here today on our 200 km drive from Kocevje to Koper with a goal to see all the UNESCO sights possible. Unfortunately this cave tour has too many steps for us to do comfortably so we consulted their information office. The lower level museum was closed but the nice attendant produced a book with a score of their professional interior pictures (no pictures are permitted on their guided tour). While we were pursuing some of the educational posters, she told us about the viewpoint of the “Big Collapse Doline''. Accessed along a 400 m trail, the Reka River disappears for 21 miles in a 538’ deep ravine with the 17th C Skocjan Church on top. This excursion was a winner for us and we came away with an appreciation of this “most significant underground phenomena both on the Karst Plateau and in Slovenia." Free parking nearby, clean restrooms, a gift shop and restaurant compliment the site. See more..
- 4.5 Sacrario Militare di Caporetto (227 reviews)
-WWI memorial
Points of Interest & Landmarks • Religious Sites
There were 12 Soča battles (the Isonzo fronts) between the Austrians and Italians along the upper part of the Soča river between 1915 and 1917. For those visiting the Soča Valley have a read of Ernest Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms book which will introduce yourself into that unbelievable and sad time of our valley's history. Today the Sacrario dei Caduti di Caporetto is a massive WWI memorial overlooking the Soča river just above Kobarid town. When there the peace and silence speaks for itself. See more..
- 4.5 Boka Waterfall (209 reviews)
-Not only a "waterfall": one of the most impressive karst springs in the world
Spent 2-3 hours Waterfalls
It's not just a waterfall: It's a (karst) spring! This means that the water comes directly out of the rockface via a cave and than falls down more than 100 m. This is spectacular, but the impression depends very much on the discharge, ranging between some tens of liters per second and more than 10 m³/s, which is extremely impressive. Ideally, visit this place during the snowmelt season or after heavy rainfall. It's worth to climb higher than the official viewpoint. The view gets better and better. For a really unique experience, climb up on the other side, higher than the spring, and then climb down on a steep path directly to the spring orifice. It is possible (with good shoes and good hiking skills), and absolutely breathtaking. See more..
- 4.5 Virje Waterfall (196 reviews)
-"must see" Virje waterfall
Spent 1-2 hours Bodies of Water • Nature & Wildlife Areas • Canyons • Waterfalls
Very easy access in the middle of the beautiful nature, 5 minutes to walk from parking (PAY), very refreshing water in the shade of tries. It is a small waterfall, but it is "must" see in Bovec. Totally recommended. See more..

- 4.5 Port Piran (150 reviews)
-Peaceful relaxed stroll through history
Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks • Piers & Boardwalks
It naturally follows that after seeing the main square, climbing the walls and seeing the church then you next move would be to come down again and explore the harbour area. This is lovely for a stroll or to call into one of the many places to eat or drink overlooking the sea. It really is a laid back and relaxed scene to enjoy. Do not forget to seek out the carved stones that form the sea breakers. See more..
- 4.5 Hrastovlje Church of the Holy Trinity (137 reviews)
-Incredible
Churches & Cathedrals
A short walk from the car park takes you to this fortified church. There was someone there when we arrived, so we waited a few minutes until it was our turn for the tour. For €3pp, the guide put on an audio description in English, then she pointed to the fresco which were being described, which worked well. Then you could wander around at leisure. The frescos were incredibly well preserved and vibrant. It was quite something to see them. You can also buy postcards (€1) and a small guide to the frescos (€2). See more..
- 4.5 Šmartno (123 reviews)
-A must visit in Goriska Brda
Points of Interest & Landmarks
A medieval town with character! If you are in the area, make sure you do not miss this sweet little town that continues to live within historic setting. Short walk will take you through the past. Don't forget to stop for a glass of wine or great meal in Hisa Marica. You can even sleep in it, in 500-years old building. See more..
- 4.5 Ladja Lucija (80 reviews)
-Trip into a hidden part of the Soca river
Boat Tours
We did a trip with the boat on a Sunday. The boat passes the confluence of Soca and Idrijca river and continues to the dam of the electric power plant. It is an interesting look into a hidden (at least for cars) part of the Soca valley. The really great phenomena is the captain of the boat. He was telling stories in three different languages (there were Slovenians, Italiens and us on board) providing interesting insights but also some (probably?) fairy tells as amusement for kids and adults. We really recommend it and even in case of a rainy afternoon it is a nice trip providing good mood. See more..
