Soca trail ! Must do !
Staying in Bovec, we took the 9.30 bus to Trenta to start the Soča trail there. You could start one stage higher up but we heard from other travellers it was not worth the extra kms. And yes, we had about 25km of mainly descent towards Bovec. No difficult hike (strenuous) but through wood, over rocky paths and in 30gr temperature didn’t make it easy neither. But we rally loved this excellent trail through the valley on the river banks. It took us 7h in total with some short breaks. So it fills up nearly a full day. Is part of the alps adriata trail and well signposted. Must do when you like to take a hike

Beautifull mountains and rivers
I have visited Slovenia many times, but this was my first time in Soča valley and I was not disappointing. Beautiful mountains, rivers and waterfalls everywhere. Half of our visit was rainy, but if you dont mind getting a bit wet, that is not an obstacle. Went paragliding in Bovec, that was absolutely amazing.

Beautiful waterways
Absolutely lovely place to explore by foot or by car. Had to keep stopping and marveling at so much wonderful scenery. St Joseph's Church is really worth a visit, full of colourful modern anti war paintings.
