We were here many times before but this time we were pleasantly surprised since both pool areas are renovated and also all the wardrobes, toilets and other facilities around the pool. The only thing we didn't like it that there were many children since they arranged water slides and other fun things for them. There's one part that's called "Relax" and the other that's called "Family fun" but children are everywhere and they do whatever they want, no one tries to stop them from jumping in the water and disturbing other people. The water is a bit colder compared to other thermal resorts. They also have a restaurant at the pool which has very reasonable prices and good food but their organization is one of the worst I've seen and when there are a lot of people you need to wait for an hour in line to get food. Slovenia is such a beautiful country. I was on business and took 1 hour for this tour. It was well worth it. The historical significance is notable. The museum is well later out in Slovenian and English and other languages. The washroom facilities were very clean and the cafe was reasonably priced with good quality sandwiches and cafe! Being a Slovenian, I visited most pool complexes and spa's in Slovenia, and this one has without a doubt the most beautiful aestetic experience. Highlight was the musical pool, where you can listen to music only underwater and just float on your back. The pools are beautiful, water warm, a nice choice of sauna's (4), even if you don't request the sauna package. The lunch was good, desserts are amazing (even the ice cream is superior). I think it's worth the high price, as the whole complex is stunning and feels like a 5 star hotel. You know a place is high-end when they offer hand cream in the bathroom and good quality bath robes. The sauna package gives you soo many choices of sauna, you cannot fit everything you want to do in one day. You can relax on water beds and join free programs in the saunas. The best and unique thing we found was, no children below 15 years of age allowed, such peace! Nowhere else in Slovenia has such age restrictions and we will miss it. See more..

Logar Valley is definitely worth a visit - a wast nature park with lots of options for the active family. We ‘only’ spent 4 hours, but there are acitivities for much more time. * A small hike to the 90 metres Rinka Waterfall (30 minutes) * Trekking a bit of the themed trail through the valley (2 hours) * Having lunch in one of the oldfashioned restaurants (1 hour) * Just browsing and killing time enjoying the mountain views (30 minutes) The themed trail is a 7 km well marked path - one way. When you drive through the valley you will see lots of signs to the trail. Park your car and walk some of the trail - or the whole. It ends up at Rinka Waterfall. Walking shoes recommended. We walked 1.5 km from our Hotel City Map B&B to see the Plague Column, the Cathedral and this castle museum. After paying 3 Euro each senior and given instructions for our self tour, we set off around the castle. The museum became more impressive the further we went; Stone age hammers, 500 BC storage pottery, 1650 nobleman’s tombstone and 13th C silver coins. Through the courtyard to the 1556 Bastion where an informative docent guided us through the large displays of 16th C armor (spears, swords and guns), a room with 40,000 miniature military figures and historic battle scenes, a hall of 16th-18th C full sized carved/gilded wooden figures (sent here from many churches for security and now wanted back), then displays of 17th-18th C furniture. On to the 1680 Knight’s Hall with frescoed ceiling before exiting down the pink Rococo staircase. This is a wonderful museum where we could have spent more time. See more..

We visited this church and monastery with a friend who lived in the area. Amazing views of the surrounding countryside from the top of the mountain. But the church itself and it's story are the star attractions. Inside the church is a small area to the left of the altar where people have left their written devotions to the Lady of Sveta Gora (Mary), from whom they associate cures of various ailments. When a tourist thinks about tulip gardens and spring (April, May), first thought is surely about the Netherlands. But Mozirski gaj in Slovenia is just as exceptional and charming in this time of the year. Many tulips are from the Netherlands and this park is situated on the Savinja River Island. In the entrance, it is a nice windmill. On the path across the park, there are many tulip gardens but there is some more stuff like observation tower, enchanted village, stone house with a mill, beehive with beehive panels, Red Japanese Bridge with nice small lake, double hayrack and some other old wooden houses. In normal times, there is a good vibe with open restaurants and trade stands. In Winter, it is a very nice Christmas Fairytale with lots of lights in the park. See more..
