A "must see" attraction
This place was without doubt the highlight of our day trip to Celje. The City under the City was stunning and the whole exhibition was fascinating. The staff are ultra friendly and very knowledgeable. I must single out the delightful Savina who took so much time to show us all round the Celje Regional Museum. This was also incredibly interesting, made even more so by Savina's knowledge and enthusiasm. We are not normally museum people, but to spend over 2 hours here really blew us away. It is ridiculously cheap for the whole experience.

Definitely worth visiting!
The museum itself is composed of two buildings, one of which hosts an entire exhibition of the remains of the Roman city of Celeia which is a really impressive experience. The employees of both buildings are extremely friendly and will be glad to answer any questions you might have. If you’re visiting Celje, be sure to take the time to see this museum!
