All You Ever Wanted To Know
As my grandfather fought in WW1 on the Isonzo front, I’ve been reading up on the subject for years and the subject greatly interests me. The staff could not have been more helpful or informative. The museum is stacked with three floors of WW1 paraphernalia. The drive from Gorizia in Italy, up the valley of the Socha (formerly Isonzo) was through countryside which ranged from pretty to, ultimately, spectacular as one approached Kobarid (Caporetto) and the high Julian Alps. I would recommend this museum highly, particularly to anyone having a particular interest in WW1.

Good museum that offers fantastic battlefield tours
Was made to re-do this for having had the temerity to include a link to one of the museum's website pages in my original review! A solid museum about a WWI front that tends to get overlooked outside the region. I recommend the tours of the museum itself to get a good overview of the events on the Isonzo Front. The museum also does coordinated tours of the battlefields in the area, as well as of the Kolovrat Outdoor Museum, which must be booked in advance through the museum's website. The battlefield tours are a little expensive, but absolutely worth it - one of the museum founders, Željko Cimprić, is a guide for these tours, and does a fabulous job with them.
