-Great horseback riding experience
Friday: 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM 4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours • Horseback Riding Tours
Eric is such a great guide!! We enjoyed our horseback 2 hour ride so much!! My favorite part was the 30 minute stop at a the river. They have a small food kiosk at the pit stop where you can purchase non alcoholic drinks and pinchos!! At the main check in area there a well stocked alcoholic bar. Between Eric and another tour guide (can’t remember his name) showed us the clay stones at the river and we got painted stripes like the taínos(local Indians) used to do back in the day. It was a very memorable experience for me and I can’t wait to go back! They offer shorter rides (1 hour) as well as atvs and have a go cart track on site. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a scenic route on the bed of El Yunque and enjoy natures beauty at its best. Connect to Mother Earth, disconnect from the loudness of modern day society and have a good as time riding. See more..

-More than just zip lining- better than we imagined!
Friday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks • Eco Tours
Absolutely the best! It wasn’t a package amusement park setting- it was an amazing opportunity to do something totally unique!! More than zip lining. Location is a hidden paradise. Our guides were fun and knowledgeable - great infrastructure and felt safe with their expertise as well. The repelling was a bonus but manageable and we all cheered each other on and the overall group has 9-60 yr olds. The bit of trail hiking was also manageable and so beautiful. Thanks for the memories Miguel, Joalex, Ian and Kevin, the best guides. Cheers! See more..

-Awesome experience!
Friday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Surfing & Windsurfing • Water Sports • Eco Tours • Gear Rentals • Stand Up Paddleboarding
My husband and daughters (17 and 13) thoroughly enjoyed their lesson with Brian. He’s extremely knowledgeable, personable and clearly enthusiastic and passionate about what he does. He is encouraging and wants everyone to have a positive experience. It was fun for me to observe and watch, and next time I will join! April was also very nice and helpful. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and have any interest in surfing. See more..

- 5.0 Parroquia San Jose Luquillo (2 reviews)
-Beautiful wood carvings in neighborhood church
Friday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Churches & Cathedrals
This little neighborhood church is filled with gorgeous wood carvings representing Puerto Rico’s flora and fauna, Taino symbols, and traditional Catholic iconography. I’ve never seen a church combine indigenous, natural, and Christian elements in this way, and the result is beautiful. The church is located on Luquillo’s pretty main square, and deserves far more attention than it seems to get. The doors were open when we visited, but we also rang the doorbell at the church and a friendly priest told us to make ourselves at home. The visit is free, obviously, but we did make a donation to the church, since I would easily pay to see such artwork. See more..

- 4.5 Balneario Luquillo (412 reviews)
-Beautiful beach
Beaches
This is a wonderful swimming beach; peaceful waters in radiant blue. The view from the water of lush El Yunque can't be beat. Weekends brings many families and children...a low key party atmosphere, weekdays very tranquil. Parking in the official lot is $4. There are basic kiosks for drinks and food. The "famous" food kiosks and restaurants at the top of the beach offer traditional Puerto Rican food, ceviche etc. The larger restaurants are expensive. See more..
- 4.5 Monserrate Beach (170 reviews)
-Beautiful waters
Beaches
Calm, blue waters with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. The facilities and parking inside of it are closed Monday's and Tuesday's. But, you might still be able to find a parking spot outside. There is a parking fee of about $4 per vehicle. For a fee, you can also have access to a private bathroom and rent a kayak. See more..
- 4.5 Las Paylas (112 reviews)
-Do it
Waterfalls
The best $5 you'll spend in PR. Pay a local resident $5 to park on their property and they point you to the path down to the river. There you'll find the waterslide where you'll ride it down as many times as you want. There are locals, tours and tourists there. The upper part has the slide and the lower part has a very short, tame slide along with rocks to jump into the river from. Great for families with kids. Loved it. It was clean and safe. See more..

- 4.5 Water City PR (43 reviews)
-Put this on your 'To Do' list
Islands
My wife and I did this tour on our first visit to PR two years ago. We had such a great experience, we knew that we would do it again when we returned to PR. This time around was an even better experience than the first. To be able to take a group of tourists with widely varying levels of diving experience (most non-existant) and get them to a point where they can swim freely underwater in a single session is a commendable feat in itself. Adam and his crew have the art form down. I tell my friends "It is like floating in the middle of an aquarium." -- an experience unlike any other. If you are visiting Puerto Rico, put this on your to do list. See more..
- 4.5 Playa La Pared (40 reviews)
-Great place to surf but be smart
Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Beaches
This is a great beach but there can be a rip tide. Surfing Puerto Rico is an amazing surf school that teaches here and I highly recommend them. My teacher had to pause our lesson to save someone who was stuck in the rip tide and didn't know what they were doing. The ocean is safe and fun if you pay attention See more..

The Luquillo farmers market is open on 2nd & 4th Saturday of every month. It provides great opportunity to mingle with the locals, try local foods, and get some amazing gifts. Both local growers and artisans sell here and you can get real made-in Puerto Rico stuff. Plus, if you've always wanted to try exotic, local fruits and veggies, this place is awesome! Would highly recommend it to anyone staying in or near Luquillo. See more..

- 4.5 Playa Azul (5 reviews)
-Laid-back Neighborhood Beach
Beaches
We rented a condo in a perfect part of Luquillo. It was a block away from Playa Azul...which in our opinion the best beach in Luquillo. 50 km East of San Juan, approximately 40 minutes drive depending on the traffic. It is connected to numerous beaches like La Pared, San Miguel & Luquillo Beach. Playa Azul is a laid back, wide beach with a sandy bottom. It’s clean with plenty of tree shade. Definitely not as busy as Luquillo beach. During our vacation we didn’t see bathroom facilities or food vendors on the beach. People bring their own supplies; music, food & beverages, chairs, umbrellas etc. We saw the full month cycle and learned how the moon affects the tides. When we arrived the waves were quite high but after a couple of days the ocean got calm and it was perfect for swimming and other water activities. This condition went on for more than 3 weeks until our last few days when the ocean went wild again. See more..
