    The Carraizo Dam is a huge water dam that was constructed in 1953. It is located in Trujillo Alto and serves as the main water reservoir for the metropolitan area. The dam mainly uses the water of the Rio Grande de Loiza and Loiza Lake, two of our most important lakes. The hydroelectric facility It provides both water and electricity to most of San Juan and is considered the main reservoir of Puerto Rico. See more..

    The Puente de Trujillo Alto is a magnificent steel bridge surrounded by nature built in Trujillo Alto on 1941. It was known for carrying the train with longest time of a trip on the island. The bridge was going to be demolished in the past but luckily protestors evaded the demolition from happening. The bridge was built by Robert Prann, an American engineer and it was made of steel that crossed over the Rio Grande de Loiza at about 70 feet above. It was built in the largest river of Puerto Rico and the height was intended to prevent flooding, a hard task. However, the bridge has remained and serves of great purpose to Puerto Ricans.
