Diving with Cachi and Chompi was the perfect way to spend our trip in Puerto Rico. Both were extra vigilant and extremely accommodating given our weariness after a couple year + hiatus (thanks COVID) from scuba... We also sincerely appreciated that they had every divers' best interest and safety in mind when storms were close and waves and lightening loomed. Highly recommend the bio bay tour with Alelí Tours! We booked here because we didn't feel comfortable doing a kayak tour in Fajardo with our little one. Staying in San Juan, our drive was much longer to Lajas than if we'd gone to Fajardo, but it was so worth it! We basically got a private boat tour with Ismael and our little family. Ismael speaks both English and Spanish, so we did a mix of both in talking with him. (He only takes up to 6 people in his boat, so you're guaranteed a small group) In the bay, my husband and I took turns jumping in the water and treading around. After swimming, Ismael took us to another part of the bay and showed us the fish darting around- super cool to see the quick flashes of light trails they made. We went when the moon was in a waxing crescent phase (almost first quarter phase) and we saw the dinoflagellates very well. Ismael even said it was one of the best nights he'd ever seen them! Our family of 3 booked a private day charter with Nicole to snorkel in several locations and ride through the beautiful mangroves. We had such a wonderful experience thanks to Nicole. She is kind and knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the area (she grew up there). We were very happy to have booked a private charter, as fewer people increases the chance of seeing wildlife. We did see another tour boat out, with tons of people in the water. We would rather be in the water with as little disruption as possible, both for the safety of the coral and to respect the shyer wildlife. We were actually able to see a small octopus, hiding in its cluster of shells. What a treat! We highly recommend Nicole, and will definitely go out with her again when we return to PR! See more..

Kayaking parguera was a great tour. Gabby and Lucky provided all the information needed prior to the reservation (directions/what to bring) and also provided brief orientation on how to use the kayaks and the area prior to the tour. We felt very safe during the entire tour. Los cayos en la parguera are a beautiful sight, you will stop at different cayos along the way. The water was very clear and some of the cayos have a shore where you can go for a swim. Gabby also brought snacks and water to share with us on one pf the stops. Overall the tour was excellent, we went as a family - 3 adults and with our nephew (17 years old) and it they were all happy about the experience. See more..

The water is clear and you can see fish great for snorkeling. I do recommend water shoes. The boat ride is short and only $10. On weekends it gets crowded I prefer going during week. Do take a cooler with water. See more..

We heard about this kayak trip through a sailing trip we took in San Juan. So we scheduled a night kayak trip to see the bioluminiscent bay. Jose was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to explain the science behind all the things we toured since he has a biology degree. My husband and I got to swim in the bioluminiscent waters. Hector took our family on a night tour of the Bioluminescent Bay and it was everything we hoped for! He was upfront with us that the Bioluminescence wasn't going to be very great because of the full moon but he put up a tarp on the side of the boat so we had a darker area to swim in. Even with a full moon it was a really cool experience and we could still see it when we swam in the shadow of the boat. There were other big tour company boats there that didn't allow guests to swim in or even touch the water so they probably didn't see anything and that made us EXTRA grateful that we went with Hector! His boat is REALLY nice and really clean and he is a smart, friendly guy that was a pleasure to talk to. We highly recommend him for your tour in La Parguera! See more..

When people think of Puerto Rico, they think of San Juan. I strongly urge people to look beyond the San Juan region. La Parguera is located in Lajas. The best way to experience La Parguera is on kayak. I met Gaby in 2016. He is very professional, punctual, and friendly. He offers various packages which are reasonably price. Last year I did the sunset tour which is absolutely beautiful. This month I did the morning tour. The water is crystal clear. Plenty of star fish. A sting ray kept us company. The water current was calm, safe for swimming. It was a magical experience! Go on down to La Parguera if you want to experience a piece of heaven on earth! See more..

Luijo took our family on a wonderful expedition to the bioluminescent bay at La Parguera. My children (11 and 8) had a great experience kayaking with us through the mangrove and at the lagoon. Spent four hours today fishing with Captain Frank Torres and his partner. This was a great trip. Captain Torres KNOWS the waters and works hard to ensure the possibilities of catching fish are maximized. In a period of approximately two hours, our party caught six (6) good size Mahi-mahi and three (3) small Barracuda. We have fished several other Charter Captains here in Puerto Rico and Captain Torres is, without question, the very best we have found to fish with. We will repeat. See more..
