-Fantastic Wildlife Conservancy
Nature & Wildlife Areas
We were able to see lots of animals during our two day safari at the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy including several rhinos, grevy zebras and reticulated giraffes. The conservancy is doing great work for the local community and protection of animals. There is a three-vehicle rule for the viewing of animals and the game drives never felt intrusive to the animals. The roads within the conservancy are in good condition. See more..

Great place to visit. It is the only true desert in East Africa. Hot and windy, the desert is easily accessible from Marsabit. Important to carry enough drinking water and some snacks. Tough four wheel drive necessary with the right tyres. Sand dunes found on the northern side towards North Horr See more..

-Amazing Experience
Safaris
It was a fantastic experience to visit the Park. I wholeheartedly recommend it. Everything is possible, especially if you have a good guide, like I did, to show you around and explain things to you. I was extremely fortunate to see almost all of the animals that live there in just two days. That was made possible by Daniel, the trip organizer and guide from Copious Africa Safaris, whom I highly recommend. See more..
- 5.0 Extra miles Unique Adventures (1 review)
-Wonderful-Unforgettable
4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours
One of the most beautiful trips I have ever done. Extra miles give you a secure ride among the most beautiful parts of Kenyan Nature and landscapes. Our tour Guide and driver Graham and his colleague Flada were such an amazing company. Beautiful people inside - out. We saw the most beautiful flora and fauna. All animals such as mammals, birds, hippos, giraffes, zebras, lions and many more! I really recommend visiting Kenya, but most importantly choosing Extra Miles, in order to live the true Kenyan culture and be well taken care of. See more..

-Remote Park has Many BirdSpecies
National Parks
This is among one of the lesser visited parks in Kenya as we were mostly alone throughout the game drives. We saw buffaloes, giraffes, monkeys, rhinos and so many beautiful birds, I’d definitely recommend this to avid bird watchers. Make sure to go through the rhino sanctuary & spend some time with the rhinos. See more..

- 4.5 Makindu Sikh Temple (11 reviews)
-A must STOP for Travellers of all religion
Spent < 1 hour Religious Sites
This Sikh Temple dates back to early 20th century when Mombasa to Nairobi Railway Line was being built. There were several Sikh workers from India who were part of this task force. During evening they would indulge in Kirtan (Devotional singing) and prayers which initiated the formation of this Gurudwara (Sikh temple). Today it has become an important Landmark for all travelers on Mombasa highway. Travellers of all religion stop here, worship, eat in Common Kitchen (Langar) which is open 2x7. -Mt. Kilimambogo: Best Beginners Hike: in Kenya
Spent More than 3 hours National Parks
Mt. Kilimambogo, located inside the Ol Donyo Sabuk National Park, happens to be one of the best beginner hikes IMO. We hiked Kilimambogo as preparation for Mt Kenya and it was great. It is also a favorite for history lovers. In July 1889, Halford Mackinder, a British geographer, together with a party of Europeans and Native porters marched past Ol Donyo Sabuk aiming for Mt. Kenya. The park was also the home of American Adventurer William Northrup McMillan and his wife Lucie. See more..

-Beyond my dreams.
Nature & Wildlife Areas
This place is made of dreams. You see so much of what you only think you will see. You see it all. The staff and owners are really working hard to save animals that need our help. The workers go above and beyond. Sitting at the pool after a long day safari with such incredible scenery is so relaxing. Having a cup of tea and coffee with home made cake during the afternoon is so traditional. You can share your experiences with other guests while you enjoy! Three meals a day in the wonderful dining area. You can hear the birds and animal sounds while you eat home made fabulous food. If you truly love animals and want to help save them and see them and learn about them in an amazing atmosphere. We cannot say enough about how this place blew our minds. Stole our hearts. Put Kenya under our skins for life. Just do it! You will be going back. We are already planning our return trip. You will be amazed... See more..

-Fun and unique
Parks
We took our two small children here (5 years old) and they had a blast. We went on a Tuesday so not many rides were open but we were still able to ride a horse as well as a camel! My sister-in-law and I both did zip lining and the kids enjoyed a bouncy castle. Most prices were very affordable, excluding the people letting kids ride around in motorized cars. They attempted to charge us 1000 shillings for our child to ride a 5 minute electric car. My wife negotiated the price down, but it was pretty unreasonable price. See more..

- 3.5 Meru Museum (9 reviews)
-A ONE STOP WILDLIFE PARK - MERU NATIONAL PARK
Speciality Museums
Meru museum originated in 1974 in an old historic building that was vacated by the District Commissioner, whose office it had been since the colonial days. The building housing the Meru museum dates back to 1916. In the colonial era it served as an administrative node in the Mount Kenya region. The museum was a joint effort by the Meru Municipal and County Councils, together with the National Museums of Kenya in creating an attractive and formative center useful to the local people and to visitors. Aspects of the cultural and diverse history of the Meru people are well illustrated by the numerous displays. Two rather unusual amenities of the Meru museum are a garden of indigenous medicinal shrubs and herbs together with a theatre. A compound of traditional huts has been constructed on the grounds, which are included in tours of the museum. An outdoor platform for dancing and musical programs along with sales kiosks complete the exterior construction. See more..
