   Great hike and not as difficult as expected. There are stone steps glued to the difficult boulder and a ladder made of logs for another part. My wife was worried it would be too hard but she loved it. The drive is signposted in a few places as well as using Google maps to the carpark. There is a long winding road decent into the valley floor. The walk is then a very short walk to the stream and head immediately left downstream. The water level was low enough we were able to keep our shoes dry and did not need the sandals we took for walking in water. I took just under 2 hours to reach the oasis pool and small waterfall. We walked a little further and then turned around to make a 4 hour round trip retracing our steps. See more..

   This was the most magical 6 hour walk slowly down from through the Dana reserve. Our guide Khalid was fantastic, fun and informative. When we stopped for tea with the shepherds this wasn't a contrived or tourist staged thing - they were simply tending their sheep. We ate lunch by a secluded stream. The landscape changes throughout the walk and really is something not to be missed. If you go later in the year set off at first light as there are some areas with no shade at all and it will be really hot by the time you get to the bottom. See more..
