Fantastic experience, the place is very beautiful and worth doing the siq trail. However, it is not as easy as described in several reviews. There are 4 points where agility and strength is needed to climb rocks with just rope and some supports. There are people from the reserve to help with the most difficult points. We saw some 60+ people having a lot of difficulty going up/down at certain spots. The trail is beautiful but it is necessary to take these aspects into account to be able to do it. The return is simpler and faster as it is in favor of the current of the river. The trail takes about 2h30/3h, despite being just over 1km, in many places it is necessary to wait for people who are in the opposite direction to pass. See more..

Yesterday we started very early in the morning from Aqaba to watch the sunrise over Wadi Rum from a small hot air balloon. The view was fantastic. We can warmly recommend this trip organized by Royal Aerosports Club of Jordan. The crew, especially Khaled Shishani who is the balloon driver was very friendly and polite. All our questions were answered in the small basket of the balloon. After the balloon tour, which took approximately 1 hour, we were offered tea and coffee and some sweets. As it was the first time for us we went by balloon we were a little bit scared at the beginning. But all in all ballooning is fantastic! See more..

Beautiful view like everyone said. The museum is a little outdated. Wish they had some up to date info on the state of the Dead Sea which is dire. There are some some gift items in the side made by refugees which I wanted to buy to support the cause. No one I talked to there could sell me anything. It got a bit frustrating. The restaurant is good. Staff was pleasant. TIP: I came here in an Uber. It was 5JD. There’s no uber service up here. So the uber driver offered me 30JD to wait two hr for me and drive me down. I negotiated him down to 15JD. Still feel ripped off. Do negotiate with your driver for round trip BEFORE you get in the car. See more..

Lunch and service by the pool was good for how busy it was. My son and I purchased day passes. He enjoyed his swim in the Dead Sea, but my experience was shocking - I am reporting this incident as a warning to others and in hopes of some sort of closure and better nights' sleeps.... I use walking sticks to improve my balance for longer walks. I walked down to the beach, lay them down, got into the water and was enjoying my swim/floating until I noticed a man with a suit labeled 'Maintenance', staring at me and motioning that I should put my arms out to improve steadiness while floating -the man continued to stare at me which was very uncomfortable so I closed my eyes and tried to concentrate on enjoying the experience and being with my son... I floated close to the shore, I opened my eyes and saw the man aggressively motioning that I had to get out - when I tried to go back deeper, he grabbed hold of my limbs and I started to shout for him to leave me alone. He pulled my arm and leg to stop me going further into the water and I felt a strong pain in my hip !! I yelled for help and my son came near saying he should stop and leave me alone. At this point the actual lifeguard in his yellow and red suit came up with a smile on his face - he seemed to find it funny. (But my son saw him tell the man to go back to his cleaning job at the toilets). The damage to my hip has now limited my walking and is very painful at night, I keep seeing the man's face and replaying the incident. See more..
