What a gem in Jordan! The Bedouin people were without exception calm, welcoming, and friendly. Best parts were sunset by jeep, Bedouin feast cooked under the sand, and camel ride. The tent we stayed in was proper glamping, ac/shower/en-suite - so much nicer than I expected in the desert. We also did the JHRC historic train ride, re-enacting the Arab uprising against the pesky Turks;) it was included in Jordan pass and well worth it. See more..

We did a 2-day trek with Wadi Rum Nomads in mid November 2022. The reason for picking them was a previous experience with them years ago. This time we visited not only the Wadi Rum highlights themselves, but also went to Wadi Sabet, a much more unspoilt part o f the overall Wadi Rum area. With two excellent experiences, Wadi Rum Nomads stands out for me because of their genuine commitment to sustainable, environment-friendly tourism, which contributes to community development. The guides are really knowledgeable, very funny as well; the camp is simple, as it should be when staying in the desert; and the food and overall experience is great. We arrived at 11am at the Bedouin village where we met Attalah the manager! He offered us tea-the Bedouin whiskey-as they called it! The 5-hour jeep tour started right away so that we could be on time to see the sunset. The ride was adventurous and informative with the best guide Acram. Ask for him when you visit the place! He is funny,helpful and makes your day easier even if it's so cold outside! The stay in the camp was really joyful, they even showed us how they cook the food Bedouin style, played music and danced all together! It was the best experience! We highly recommend it! Wonderful experience! Full day jeep tour with panoramic tents was the best choice! We enjoyed the tour very much. We had good lunch, dinner and breakfast. Bakir and the team made our stay here even more beautiful. They have very good sense of humor and they are very good drivers. We saw all the beautiful attractions and they helped us with the pictures. After the jeep tour we stayed at the fire, we ate dinner made underground, we dance and they sing very beautiful. Spontanously decided to do a buggy ride in Wadi Araba. This was a great experience and recommend it to everyone who likes adventure, adrenaline and something away from the beaten trail. Cost 30 JOD per person for approx. 2 hours ride. But it's worth it. Spectacular views, amazing experience, no people, just you, the guide and sand. This experience was one of the things you will remember forever. Not only the absolutely breathtaking scenery left us in awe. Such a nice trip! Almost in every stop of the full tour guide you have tea free with bedouin mood. The drivers give you free time in every monument and place, so you can visit every place at your own. The lunch was good with typical arabic food and you have dedicated chef for dinner and breakfast. We have been in Jordan for 6 days and both breakfast and dinner was the best we had here. In late night, we sat around the fire, smoke a little bit of Shisha, dance some songs and hear the culture of Jordan by Feras, the host. The bed was perfect and the place of the camp allowed us to see all the stars! This, with the sunset, was one of the most beautiful moments I ever had. The camp is ideally located in an area where you can see the sunset without moving from the camp, and by climbing a little bit on the mountain you can see the sunrise reflecting on the sand and mountains before it even appears. The camp is of a reasonable size which makes it perfect for people who really are looking for an experience in the calm of the desert and far from the crowds. The tents and the common bathrooms are very clean and everything required is there. The diner is prepared on site, Bedouin style, and was really delicious! After the diner, the host lights a fire inside a small cave and the ambiance is just so comfortable, warm and feels like a family gathering. We spent a lovely evening with the hosts Mohammad and Abdallah discussing about the Wadi Rum bedouin history and culture, around several delicious cups of tea. In the cave it looks like you are in another time space and another planet. Then you can walk around under the moon/stars and it is just wonderful. Special thanks to the Chef cook Hani who was extremely nice and looked after us making sure we had everything we needed. His kindness and welcoming was the highlight of our stay. The day after we took the 2 hours Jeep tour around some of the sites of wadi rum. We really think we should have booked a longer tour as we felt we did not stay long enough and the place is really worth a full day and night. We were three girl friends travelling alone and we felt safe during the whole stay, with nothing but respect and kindness from everyone who we interacted with. An incredible, breathtaking experience. The tour guide, Mohareb, was extremely nice, very hospitable, made the whole experience very relaxing, comfortable and authentic. We were 2 girls traveling, we felt very comfortable. We did a 2 hour jeep tour around sunset, made tea in the desert, then had amazing dinner, then singing and dancing around a fire, then in the morning breakfast and a camel ride. From the information shared with us to the quality of the campsite and its provision for our needs, we were made to feel we were in very good hands. Our host and tour operator, Salem Nasser, was born in the desert in this area and holds it very dear to his heart. Our stop-offs at ten sites involving a 30 km journey during the afternoon were detailed and a feast for the eyes and mind. On arrival at the camp the hospitality from Frances and Sharif was excellent. The camp's facilities have been well constructed and are comfortable and very clean. The food is abundant and very good. To cap off a wonderful day, Salem's conversation around a campfire after dark showed his passion for this area and he has a knowledge of western ways that means he is able to relate his own experiences very well to his guests. Habis was great with us , and customised our stay around busy itinerary, to maximise every moment we had in Wadi Rum. The camp is extremely well located , calm and with perfect views for a memorable sunrise. It is extremely clean and has everything you’ll need . After several months in Jordan this is by far my favourite experience as of now. We went for a drive to watch the sunset in the evening, before we had a slow cooked dinner around the fire and slept under the stars. The next day we woke up at 05:00 to watch the sunrise with the camels as part of a two hour ride. Thereafter we had a delicious breakfast by the campsite before we set of on our final part of the day: the Bedouin steps trail by 4x4, which lasted for about 7 hours. All in all it was an amazing experience with delicious food, and such a kind and helpful crew - I would absolutely both come back myself and recommend it to friends. See more..

Our trip to Wadi Rum was definitely a highlight of Jordan where we spent 2 weeks. Unfortunately, we could stay only 4 nights In the desert but it worth the whole week if you wanna really dive into Bedouin life and culture. Camp, traditional food zarb (you can Google it to be amazed), Location were the best. We did over night camping in the cave that was a unique experience by itself and then 3 days jeep safari tours. Wadi Rum is a huge desert full of great spots from sand dunes to canyons, hiking trails and view points. You never get tired of it if you love to be connected with a nature and live a simple lifestyle. Our guide Abdu made us feel like home and he was the best company you can wish for. We had an amazing 2 night tour, for our family of five, with Ali. The experience will stay with us for ever. Watching the sun rise in the desert, camping under the stars and learning about Bedouin ways whilst seeing all the main sights of wadi rum, plus many that most tours would miss, was the highlight of our stay in Jordan. As a group of 9 people we did a 6 days horse riding trail in Wadi Rum organized by Jordan Tracks and it was amazing. Horses are very well treated, well-fed and controllable. We set off in the morning, there was a longer stop with lunch in the noon, then we were on our way again. Food was delicious, both - during the horse riding trail and in the camp. Great organization - f.e during the trail one person often drove a jeep, you could refill the water, Team of Jordan Tracks was very helpful always and our trail guide was very nice and with a sense of humor. Comfortable conditions in the camp and a very nice atmosphere there. I highly recommend such an unforgettable adventure to everyone. See more..

Full day jeep and camel tour with overnight stay in a bedouin camp: AMAZING! Everything has been perfect, food, tour guide, bedouin tea (lots of tea!!), landscapes, colors and silence took our breath away. We did a 2-day trek through the desert with our wonderful guide Ali and excellent cook/ driver Ogla (hope this is the right spelling!). Communication was really good from the first email. The trekking itself was obviously beautiful, since its Wadi Rum, but Ali also made sure to point out places we could climb up to for even more spectacular views. The level and pace was easily adaptable, and Ali always made sure to wait and check on all members of our group. He gave very interesting insights about the flora and fauna of the desert, and explained a lot about Bedouin life. The food at the camp as well as the two lunches were cooked on the spot and excellent. The tents were well insluated. Also, the toilets (+ showers) in the camp were some of the cleanest I've seen in Jordan. All in all a highly recommendable experience and 100% worth the money when you realize how much effort and logistics goes into it all. Some pointers: make sure to bring tons of sunscreen, we applied ca every hour. Also, make sure to wear clothes that are long (because it immediately gets cold when you're out of the sun, at least in late February), but light in color (because the sun burns like crazy and you'll definitely be too warm if you're wearing black). Wadirumcircuit was recommended by some friends, and it was the best choice ever. I was alone in this trip, and I joined for the tour (1 day and 1 night) two other girls so we were a total of 3, accompanied by Yusuf, an excellent, attentive, and thoughtful guide. He drove us around amazing spots, cooked excellent food, and showed us some of the Bedouins practices. He made us soap with the plants of the desert, and he showed us how the mousse created with it was used as a face cream. Regardless any language difficulties he just captured our hearts, knowing what we would like and asking us if we needed or wanted something else. I would go back to Wadi Rum just to have another chat with him, with Eid and Bogdan, around the fire, or maybe just be silent and feel the desert together. Thanks for this amazing experience! This was one of the best experiences of our lives. The desert has a magical power and being able to know it through Ahmed and his family was absolutely priceless. By the time of breakfast we were already inspired by the beduin’s way of life - simple, spiritual and as humane as one can be. The day was as fun as it was breathtaking. Umm ad Dami is about 40 km (or 45 min drive) away from most Wadi Rum camps. Once there, the hike up takes about 60-90 minutes, and with the same amount or less time going back down. My guide pushed me really hard and we finished the entire hike, up and down, in less than 2 hours. No scrambling is needed, just lots of leg muscles work as you navigate through rocks and boulders. On a clear day, you can see all the way out to Saudi Arabia, as well as the observatory center on Jordan's side. But because of the distance in driving and also the time needed to hike up and down, a Umm ad Dami outing is usually a half day affair, so plan accordingly. See more..

It is a 100 narrow area with petroglyphs depicting humans( even women giving birth) and animals and Islamic,Talmudic and Nabatean inscriptions.
