Branching out from al-Rasheed street, one of the oldest streets in Baghdad, Iraq, the Souq Al-Safafeer [coppersmiths' market] - for hundreds of years this was a vibrant, bustling, and clanky market - now fosters only a handful of skilled tradesmen. See more..

-Nice old street in Baghdad, good local expirience
Monuments & Statues
If you are traveling to Baghdad, it's definitely one of the location you will be visiting. Here you can buy anything on the market, as well as have a snack and take some good pictures. There are a lot of historical places on the street nearby. You can also take a small boat ride from the one rive bank to the other and back. Please don't confuse Al Rashed street with any other street nearby! Just make your way to Baghdadi Museum, and go from there to Al Rashed street! I ordered a taxi to Al Rashed street, but the driver didn't know where I need to go, and he drove me to a street nearby, probably Al Nehr street. There were nothing, but only closed buildings, people with weapons, and homeless people. Homeless people started to throw trash to our car, and I had no idea how to go from there to the right street! The northern part of the street is much more civil than the southern one, go from north to south on the Al Rashed street, not the other way! See more..
- 4.5 Baghdadi Museum (33 reviews)

- 4.5 Al-Kadhimiya Mosque (20 reviews)
-Magnificent shrine
Architectural Buildings • Religious Sites
This is the shrine that hosts the burial place of two holy Imams. Like all place where a large crowd gather, security is tight and you accept that. In addition no mobiles are allowed after a certain point - sad but necessary. Approach to the shrine means you have to walk through the local area which in this part of the world is accepted as the norm but which may be upsetting to those not used to it. Inside the grand mosque it is serene and magnificent. Large crowds but all going about in an orderly manner. An awesome empowering experience. See more..

Coffee houses, clothes shops, restaurants, a grocery store, souvenir shops, a market, and so on ... Everything is in here! Good prices and nice staff. Also, there are a lot of good places nearby the mall on the street. See more..
