    Must visit for everyone!
The National museum of Iraq is one of the most amazing places I have visited in this country, one that I keep coming back to at every chance. First, the museum is located at the center of Baghdad, in AL-Alawi area, which makes it so accessible by everyone and from all city directions. The second most amazing part is the price ticket, only 3,000 IQD, which is equal to 2 USD, which is so cheap compared to other countries and other museums I have visited, there's even a discount for college/school students. (P.S the ticket price might be different for foreigners than to locals). The Museum is open from Saturday to Thursday, and from 8:00-8:30 to 01:00 pm and the place is totally sealed and secured, with metal detectors, cameras and a locker room to keep your belongings. The staff is very nice and most of them can speak English very well, there are guides who wander of in the museum and you can ask them about pretty much everything, but if you like to enjoy privacy then you can make a tour on your own and you can read the labels on each artifact in which there's a description available in both English and Arabic, and you can have a great time there without anyone bothering you. The most beautiful thing for me is that the museum is clean, beautifully lit and put together, it is categorized by era and each room contain hundreds if not thousands of artifacts that goes back to the same era which makes viewing them all in one day almost impossible. There are so much to look forward to in this museum, it is so rich in history and have extremely valuable artifacts that dates back thousands of years. The museum is photography friendly, you can go in with a phone and a camera but they do not allow video photography. The down side for me is that there aren't a parking lot for the museum, except for public officials and employees of the museum, which means you have to walk there or leave your car someplace else, and given that the location is in the middle of the city, you can't really find a parking space there, so I usually leave my car in the Zawra park which is a bit far. Something also to mention is that some of the artifacts aren't real, and were made to symbolized what the actual artifact looked like, because the original one was either stolen or destroyed, and there aren't a clear note saying that this artifact aren't original, you have to ask the guide to tell you, and I find this very important and need to be fixed. Overall, I love this place and I'll never get enough of it, you literally cannot regret visiting this place, trust me.
