You can also enjoy a snack and maybe have a shisha in one of the many cafes in the area, or maybe dare the challenge of having a rough massage in one of the famous old hammams. The ride was comfy with jaw dropping view of the city, bridge of peace and tiblisi. Ticket cost 3 Gel per side for per person and it was simply worth paying for. - Interesting place to walk around
Monday: 9:00 AM - 11:30 PM Trams • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Lookouts
    Funicular image
The cars run every 20 minutes so it can get a bit backed up and crowded. It was around 34 lark for a return trip for 2, but instead of riding down we got a bolt (which I’d recommend for a new viewpoint of the area and it’s a nice drive and only costs about 16 lari). Definitely worth stopping for a drink at the restaurant at the top to enjoy enjoy the view. It’s worth waking around the amusement park as well - lots of interesting things to look at and good viewing areas. I’d recommend around sunset as it’s not too hot and also it’s gorgeous to see the sky change colors from up there. See more..
  10. 4.5 Narikala Fortress (1.956 reviews)
    - Iconic Tbilisi view
    Ancient Ruins • Castles
    Narikala Fortress image
Take the cable car from Rike park (other side of the river), it's only 2 GEL + the metro card. From there you'll already have a great view, and upon arrival just walk towards the fortress. Inside there's not that much to see besides the church, however you can climb the walls all the way to the top for some great views of the city. Afterwards you can either head down to the city, or go back up (pass some stalls) to go see Mother of Georgia or the Botanical Garden. See more..
  11. 4.5 Tsminda Sameba Cathedral (1.824 reviews)
    - Impressive building
    Monday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Churches & Cathedrals
    Tsminda Sameba Cathedral image
Very impressive site. The main cathedral is a huge building and the inside is very elaborate with several levels. Apparently the site was cleared specially to build this and it was paid for by a local businessman. The grounds are set out well too and it's position on top of the hill overlooking Tbilisi is impressive. See more..
  12. 4.5 Georgian National Museum (860 reviews)
    - Georgian National Museum
    Monday: History Museums
    Georgian National Museum image
Very well organized museum and the best one in Georgia, located at the start of Rustaveli Avenue, a few minute walking distance from liberty square. It is also next to the museum of modern art. The museum was 4 floors which displayed Georgian history, chinese art, animals, wars, ornaments, evolution etc. It seemed only certain area was accesible for tourists. We can navigate the museum via lift or via stairs. Few rooms had some lighting issues (spot light not working), photos when click becomes dull due to strong light from window. Rest assured, it was a great adventure visiting this museum and knowing the Georgian history. Ticket is arount 15 GEL See more..
  13. 4.5 National Botanical Garden of Georgia (741 reviews)
    - Must go to this escape from the city in the city
    Spent 2-3 hours Gardens
National Botanical Garden of Georgia image
This is a relatively large and beautiful garden, it is a must-visit, you will see plants from several geographic regions all over the world, visit the waterfall, and if you are feeling adventurous you can ride the zipline. Starting from the top of the hill where Mother of Georgia & Narikala Fortress reside, all the way down to the old city where you can visit the Mosque and sulfur baths, this large garden is a perfect escape from the city in the city, you can walk around, relax, breath in the fresh air & feel the nature. I recommend going up to the garden using the cable car, a quick stop at the Mother of Georgia, and Narikala Fortress, then visit the garden, there you will find yourself near the zipline. See more..
  14. 4.5 Mount Mtatsminda (530 reviews)
    - Nice stroll in the park with the unhappiest employees in the world :)
    Mountains
    Mount Mtatsminda image
As an American tourist without children, I enjoyed walking around the park looking at the rides and the interesting buildings. The park was a bit confusing for me, i was trying to avoid stairs. The center of the park going up hill is one big continuous staircase. If you take the path to the far right you will head toward the Ferris Wheel, and I think at the end it connects to the other side. Otherwise I preferred the road on the far left which went to the center “golden tree” with panorama point and then up to the roller coaster. I bought a $6 Pomegranate juice from a vendor who looked like she was going to cry because I made her work…maybe you could have ur employees act happy in your amusement park? See more..
  15. 4.5 Metekhi Cathedral (522 reviews)
    - A very nice church that the nickname CATHEDRAL is a bit big on it. A nice site that is recommended NOT 2 B MISSED.
    Religious Sites
    Metekhi Cathedral image
Metekhi Church, located in the ancient Metekhi district (in free translation - the area around the palace), is one of the most recommended sites in Tbilisi. The combination of the pulsating history with the gray stones and the magnificent view from the front of the church tower make it a must-visit for any tourist. Metekhi Church is one of the oldest churches built in Tbilisi. Legend has it that it was built by King Vakhtang Gorgasali who reigned in the fifth and sixth centuries. The original church was dedicated to St. Mary and was destroyed during the Mongol invasions. Several churches that were destroyed in different periods were rebuilt on its ruins. The current church is the latest reconstruction built on many layers of church ruins destroyed over the years. It is highly recommended not to miss the tour within it. See more..

  17. 4.5 Jinvali Water Reservoir (498 reviews)
    - Stunning View
Spent 1-2 hours Bodies of Water
    Jinvali Water Reservoir image
The Jinvali water reserve is an amazing place to visit both in the winter & in the spring. The unrestricted large view of the reservoir is breathtaking. During my visit, there was a gust of strong winds which made it difficult for people to operate the shops at the joint. Some people's goods even flew into the air. I hope that these stalls are moved away a little bit from the main attraction so that the calmness can be enjoyed. See more..
  18. 4.5 Sioni Cathedral Church (418 reviews)
    - My First visit to an Orthodox Church
    Religious Sites
    Sioni Cathedral Church image
The Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi commonly known as Sameba is the main cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox. Constructed between 1995 and 2004, it is the third-tallest Eastern Orthodox cathedral in the world and one of the largest religious buildings in the world by total area. Sameba is a synthesis of traditional styles dominating the Georgian church architecture at various stages in history and has some Byzantine undertones. Worth the visit, stunning decoration. Relaxing ambiance outdoor. The floor is made of marble tiles and the altar will also be decorated with mosaic. Would love to visit this place once again See more..

  21. 4.5 Monument of King Vakhtang Gorgasali (338 reviews)
    - A wonderful vantage point for river views and Old City photography, especially the sunset photography.
    Monuments & Statues
Monument of King Vakhtang Gorgasali image
On the towering cliff that rises on the banks of the Mtkvari (Kura) River stands an impressive monument of a rider on horseback waving his hand in salute. The rider in whose honor the monument was erected is the king Vakhtang Gorgasali who founded the city of Tbilisi and gave the city its name. Legend has it that during a pheasants hunting trip in the area the king's falcon together with the pheasant he captured fell into a spring and when the king pulled them out of the water, to his surprise he discovered that the pheasant and the falcon were cooked, because the water in the spring from which they were pulled out was boiling. In the language of the place Tbilisi means “The place of hot water”. The impressive statue is located in the courtyard of the Metekhi Cathedral adjacent to the edge of the cliff. Great views are seen from this location, in any direction you turn, both during the day and especially in the afternoons and evenings for amazing sunset photos, if you were lucky. See more..

  24. 4.5 Anchiskhati Basilica (244 reviews)
    - The oldest church in Tbilisi. From the outside it looks extremely shabby. But the inside is really amazing.
    Churches & Cathedrals
    Anchiskhati Basilica image
On the right bank of the river stands a church building which is in extremely poor condition and immediate renovation is more than required. It is the oldest church in Tbilisi, built in the 6th century, originally dedicated to Mary the mother of Jesus. In the 17th century, following a transfer of a famous icon of Christ from a monastery in Turkey, the church’s name has been changed to its current name. Scenes from the icon’s history adorn the church’s walls. The contents of the church’s space are AMAZING and extremely rich. NOT 2 B MISSED. See more..

This has to be the one of the best Structures in all of Georgia. Such Intricately carved pillars depicting scenes from the bible as well as the kings and Queens of Georgia. Such a mystical and captivating experience. An epic monument to the Christian history of Georgia and a panoramic view of the Tbilisi sea. Its a hidden gem for sure and will definitely leave u in awe. Had come in the evening and the views of the surrounding areas were gorgeous, gives one a sense of peace and calm.
