- 5.0 Gergeti Trinity Church (1.229 reviews)
-Rough Road Up
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Churches & Cathedrals
Its a destination that you would have on your list when you visit Gorgia. The trek up is around 3 hours but you can hire a 4x4 and save some time and energy. The road is really rough in places so it takes a bit of time but it is worth it. Gorgeous views from the church over the valley and up to the mountains. To enter the church you must cover your head and if not wearing a skirt there is one there to put on. Men should also put on a skirt if they are wearing shorts. See more..
- 5.0 Mount Kazbek/ Mqinvartsveri (492 reviews)
-Beautiful area
Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Mountains
Mount Kazbek is a beautiful mountain in the Caucasus mountains. You can hike up to the church, along the road or through the woods. There are also taxis available. Great views from near the church. There can be a lot of snow until late april, early may, so keep that in mind. See more..
- 5.0 Paragliding in Georgia with SkyAtlantida (320 reviews)
-Wonderful gliding
Sunday: 8:30 AM - 8:00 PM Air Tours
Had a great experience with Dimitri today. The flight was smooth and were able to fly like a bird ☺️ Felt very safe during the flight and Dimitri was very good to make instruction to make the whole experience unforgettable and his partner was being helpful too while prepping to take off. Natalia has been a good help too in Line with the book and she recommended me a good hotel with a beautiful view at the balcony. It is at Tsar Bhani. And the two ladies at the hotel are very lovely too and helpful. Will definetly recommend the pargliding and the hotel See more..

- 5.0 Trusso Valley (127 reviews)
-Nice hike, not too difficult but intense enough
Valleys
Wonderful walk. Start at the bridge when you don’t drive a 4x4. The walk took us about 6 hours. At one point we crossed a little bridge (where the Georgian flag is) and took a little detour. We were warned for Sheppard dogs, because they could bite. Luckily we didn’t see any. We were only one of a few who walked the whole trail. Most people had taxi’s or 4x4’s. The fortress at the end is not really what I expected but had a nice view. We had no problems with the military guys there. Take food and water with you, as there is no opportunity to buy any on your hike. See more..
- 5.0 Juta Valley (47 reviews)
-A beautiful hike with beautiful views.
Spent More than 3 hours Valleys
For me, the juta valley is the hike to the chaukhi pass at 3338 meters. A lovely, challenging hike of about 4 hours up and 2 down, surrounded by flowering meadows, rushing rivers, grazing cows and horses and always the imposing sight of the jagged massif. From the top of the pass, a misty, wild place, you can also see 3 lakes on the other (roshka) side. I reccomend to do it while staying in juta and not on a rushed daytrip from kazbegi. The trail is marked. See more..

- 5.0 Mutso (13 reviews)
-Incredbile panoramic beautiful spot!
Ancient Ruins
We visisted Mutso on a 2-day tour through Khevsureti. Mutso is an old village, with interesting architecture in a wonderful environment..if you manage to go, do so! some tombs as well on the way up (it will take you 20min to climb up). Went with a very good Georgian guide: Dali Chokheli from ShatiliTours which i found on Facebook. She was very communicative, caring, spoke well English and would tell as apassionately about the region... it was very interesting! was worth it every minute!! this is still an unspoilt region! - 5.0 Abudelauri lakes (12 reviews)
-One of the best hikes ever!
Spent More than 3 hours Bodies of Water
We took a tour with @georgia_traveling_crew and it has been one of the best hikes I have ever done! Mindia was our guide and you could tell he was an experienced hiker. The hike was advertised as easy, I consider myself in good shape and I would definitely rate it as intermediate instead. Going through the patches of snow and scrambling some rocks to get to the White Lake and jumping over couple of small rivers was definitely challenging. In total, from Roshka to all the three lakes and back to the car it was 14 kms. When we got there it was a bit foggy, then the sky was clear and bright, then it rained for 10 minutes, you know, mountain unpredictable weather. I am not sure if I'd dare to do it on my own considering I lack sense of direction, but I'd love to try. It was beyond perfect! We went with a Delica car, the road was not in the best shape given the recent flooding, but with an experienced driver and a proper car, it is definitely doable. See more..
- 5.0 Adventure Park Jomardi (7 reviews)
-Amazing day out!
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
I was traveling with my sister and her two kids (teenagers). David offered us a variety of activities, of which we sellected two: rafting and cycling. The whole day was really nicely organised, starting from the pickup in the morning from our hotel, through every single detail of the trip. At the end of the day we were all exhausted but extremely happy with the trip. We were nicely fed (yes, famous Georgian hospitality! A lot of delicious food!) and driven back to Tbilisi. Next time we are in Georgia, we will definitely use Jomardi again. See more..

We visited the St. Elias Prophets Church by riding horses from our hotel to the Church. The experience was absolutely surreal. The trip costs GeL50 per hour. See more..

-A historic world heritage site with an amazing view

A quick stop on the way to Mtskheta, which is the old capital of Georgia. The Monastery was built in the sixth century, it is listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. The view from the top of the hill is astonishing, overlooking the old city of Mtskheta and the intersection of the two rivers. See more..
- 4.5 Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (685 reviews)
-Beautiful church complex
Churches & Cathedrals
With just a short drive from the Jvari Monastery you will find the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. This extensive fortress complex has impressive artwork inside and interested stone work outside. My favorite part was seeing the qvervi in the ancient wine cellar. Enjoy strolling the grounds, inside and out. There are also vendors selling souvenirs for a much better price than you will find in Tbilisi. If you are lucky, you will see a monk ringing the bell. See more..
- 4.5 Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble (390 reviews)
-Fantastic stop on your drive between Tbilisi and Kazbegi!
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Historic Sites
The Ananauri castle complex is a must-see along your drive from Tbilisi to Kasbegi. Perched on the Aragvi River, it enjoys a most picturesque setting. On a clear day, the sparkling water is just gorgeous. Explore the grounds, fortress walls, and the church. Backtrack to the bridge along the road to get a wonderful view of both the castle and lake. You can take pictures inside the monastery, which is not true at every monastery in Georgia, so that was a treat. Enjoy! See more..
- 4.5 Gveleti Waterfall (188 reviews)
-Great 1km climb with fantastic views
Waterfalls
Left the car near Gveleti village and climbed about 1km up. The road goes almost to the small waterfall but only for serious offroad vehicles, even local Delicas are left sometimes about halfway. There is a camping and gueshouse too. The scenary is fantastic. See more..
- 4.5 Mountain Freaks (153 reviews)
-All you would expect from a mountain agency - with an extra dose of kindness.
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Multi-day Tours • Walking Tours • Climbing Tours • Hiking & Camping Tours • Day Trips
We summited Kazbek with Mountain Freaks as part of an open group. The range of emotions connected to that experience is hard to describe with words but take for the recommendation that both people with limited mountaineering experience and those who summited higher peaks were in awe of the beauty of this marvellous beast. Mountain Freaks did all in their power to get as many of us as possible to the top. They helped both during the preparations for the trip, as well as during the trek itself. They made us feel safe on the route and helped when we encountered some stomach problems. What they did for their clients was everything I would expect from a mountain agency. Last but not least, Ewa and Nika proved to be very kind people - hope to meet them again on another trip! See more..
- 4.5 Samtavro Church (140 reviews)
-Pretty cathedral in the heart of the City
Churches & Cathedrals
We did a day in Mtskheta exploring and popped into the cathedral for a quick peak after lunch. It’s like many you see in the region, but easy to visit and has a large garden inside. Historically it’s quite significant, and worth a visit if you’re in the area. See more..
- 4.5 Château Mukhrani (128 reviews)
-&
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Wineries & Vineyards
Fit for Royalty; Chateau Mukhrani was founded on the tradition of winemaking in the Mukhrani area of Georgia dating back in millennia. It is the original Georgian Royal Chateau, and the only Chateau to unite four key components: the Vineyard, the Winery, the Chateau and the Winemaking history. The history of winemaking at Chateau Mukhrani started in 1878 when the first vintage was released. It was Ivane Mukhranbatoni, a descendant of the Bagrationi Royal Family, who, after returning home from France in 1876 where he learnt about the fine art of winemaking in the Bordeaux and Champagne regions, decided to introduce the concept of a Chateau in Georgia. He introduced the then contemporary winemaking methods that were already widely used in Europe, and started producing wonderful Georgian wines on the ancestral Mukhrani Estate. Chateau Mukhrani has become renowned around the world for its splendid Chateau and Cellars, wonderful gardens and pristine vineyards. The harmonious symbiosis between fertile soils and history, traditions and modern techniques, has created the masterpiece that we call Chateau Mukhrani wines. Chateau Mukhrani Wine Tours Chateau Mukhrani is one of the must-visit venues to get a fascinating insight into the traditions and secrets of Georgian winemaking, blended with remarkable stories about the Georgian Royal family. Fabulous castle and cellars, wonderful gardens and vineyards – this is what makes Chateau Mukhrani famous. This is a Place You Should Visit! Advanced reservations are more than desired. See more..
- 4.5 Shio-Mgvime Monastery (89 reviews)
-My favorite monastery that we visited
Spent 1-2 hours Architectural Buildings • Religious Sites • Scenic Walking Areas • Churches & Cathedrals
It’s a bit of a drive from Mtskheta, but we’ll worth it if you have a car. It’s a bit more unique than some of the others, and it was my favorite of the trip. The frescos are beautifully preserved and you can see the cave complexes on the hills behind the compound. It’s a working monastery as well. See more..
- 4.5 TSAR BANI (54 reviews)
-MUST while in Gudauri!
Spent 2-3 hours Spas
TSAR BANI SPA RESORT is the highest Russian traditional steam baths all over the world! (in process of setting a record in Guinness World Records book) The building with three big red chimneys is hosting three pine log houses called Russian banyas. The bathhouse masters from all over Russia offer to guests authentic bathing and spa procedures of the highest standard. See more..
- 4.5 Gergeti Glacier (42 reviews)
-A must-do for hikers who are in Kazbegi
Mountains • Geologic Formations
An easy day hike that will take about 8 hours. The initial 2 hours will take you to the Trinity Church. You can choose to walk along the road or take the steeper short cuts, either way is easy though there isn't many scenic views along this route. Past the church, the views start to get spectacular. The wind at the end of the hike is biting, so remember to pack extra warm clothes. Note also to bring sufficient water, at least 1.5 liter of water, didn't see any water point throughout this entire hike but I've read that there's one water tap near the church. See more..
- 4.5 Sports & Ski (40 reviews)
-Best ski rental in Gudauri
Spent 2-3 hours Gear Rentals
Had an amazing experience with Sport&Ski Georgia! It is definitely the best rental for ski and snowboard in Gudauri. I was in Gudauri with a big group and we tried different ski rentals and Sport&Ski definitely went beyond expectations with the service. The location is perfect. Near the lifts. Very helpful and friendly staff, and all the equipment are in excellent condition and very well looked after. If you need an instructor they can provide you with one with good experience. Highly recommended! See more..
