    Spas
    Badhuset Mariebad image
Uniquely situated by the beach Mariebad offers a beautiful sea view as it is built over the sea bay Slemmern in the Aland Islands. Enjoy the refreshing sea breeze when you sit in the outdoor cafe or on the patio that runs around the entire building. This unique location also features a beach for swimming in the salty waters of the bay. Both children and playful adults can enjoy themselves outdoors at the beach, or indoors in the popular recreational pools with waterfalls and swirls. From the tall tower, a 65,5 meter waterslide runs down into the pool from dizzy heights. Mariebad also has an exercise pool and a teaching pool. In the winter you may also go for a winter bath outdoors. If you're looking for peace and quiet, seek out the comfortable spa and relaxing area. Mariebad also has a cafe that serves warm appetizers and pastries. In the summertime there is an outdoor serving area. Welcome to Mariebad! The name Mariebad derives from both the city Mariehamn and bath (meaning "bad" in Swedish). See more..
  2. 3.0 Aalands Parliament (12 reviews)
    - Ugly building
Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Aalands Parliament image
Åland is an autonomous, demilitarized, and unilingually Swedish-speaking territory of Finland. The parliament of Åland is called as Lagtinget. It has 30 seats. The self-government gives the Ålanders the right to enact laws on their internal affairs and to decide on the budget. On some days, there are guided tours. We saw the decayed building only from outside. See more..
  3. 3.5 Kungso Batteriberg (3 reviews)
    - History in the middle of nowhere - from the stupidness of war - scenic view and nice walk-arounds
Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 2-3 hours Historic Sites • Mountains • Lookouts
    Kungso Batteriberg image
This old batteri is really somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Seeing which equipment the nations built up there, it shows you the importance of this island, and as well the nonsense of what world war means. As a matter of fact it leads you to a tower with a great overview of the landscape - you can see the ships coming in to Aland. And the landscape is incredible beautiful here. Special here are some nice walk-arounds, nice especially for families - along the old wall of the batteri. We liked it - great. Worth to vist. Note: the way up to the batteri takes longer then in Salis. See more..
