After our car hire company cancelled on us last minute, he helped us to secure a new car. Without him we wouldn’t be able to experience Khinaliq. One of most visited places of Quba is KHINALIQ (Xinaliq) 5000 years old settlement, i met a city guide and he took me to several places and one of them was Khinaliq ...Very nice and interesting place ,historical, very hard life style ,,peole still fire manure in their stove to heat the house .The have a museum of history of this people and village. whatsp I advice to contact with a guide,,because none of peole speak english,,,the words that they now only money ,yes ,no, my name is,how are you.?..and nothing to talk about history and customs,,you will just be pleased only by nature,,but some of them speak a little russian.. good luck to all future Tourists See more..

You can see two different pics of Afurja in summer and winter. In winter with freezing there is an outstanding view with all white surrounding. In summer travelers can enjoy calm weather with all green mountain forests. Not all cars can climb to this waterfall. There are taxis (Lada Niva cars) which transport visitors from riverside to waterfall and take them back. However, if you can trek this area (approximately 30-40 minutes to climb to waterfall and half to come back), on the way you can see marvelous pics of mountains and forests and also drink very cold water from spring. Pay attention to your shoes, try not to wear slippers and this kind shoes which can slip in the wet surface. Drink tea with herbs in nearby cafe with local jam under trees. See more..

Local bus to Quba and then taxi through woodlands with locals having picnics. From there the road deteriorates but goes through beautiful canyons then pastures with sheep and a glacial river. Too much traffic and once we arrived, we found massive numbers of taxis and tour mini-buses - far too many for the town to handle. Locals seemed uninterested (or invaded) and not well off economically. They tried to see us handmade crocheted crafts. Loved the canyon. See more..
