    Artistic memorial
Once a football field, a mass grave was discovered during some renovation works in 2007. You need to show some ID to visit it. But then an English speaking guide will give some historical insights and answer any question about the genocide perpetrated by Armenians in 1918. As usual in Azerbaijan, art combines with architecture to help us learn more about history. Highly instructive albeit a bit sad.

    Memorial
A fitting tribute to the thousands who were massacred in 1918. The complex provokes thought and reflection around the atrocities of war whilst commemorating the dead in a peaceful and dignifying manner. A guide took us around the exhibits in the museum building which was very imformative. Worth an hour of anybody's time.
