Wowwww

Wowww... We went as a group by early afternoon & left the premises by evening. What an amazing place to rejonavate yourself from the hectic life style. Its a 3.5hr journey approximately from Baku city. You can even book stay at this resort and all the activity over there.

Outdoor activities for adults & kids
Nice place to visit with family & kids, as there are lots of activities for adults & kids. For kids there is outdoor play area, horse riding, chair lifts, ski school, snow playing etc. For adults quad bikes, chair lifts, ski, off-road drive etc.

    Great Family Skiing Holiday
Some info if you come to Shahdag for a family skiing holiday: Shahdag Hotel, Pik Palace and Park Chalet are all within 50m of each other midway up the resort area and walking distance from the ski slopes, but only Shahdag Hotel is literally walk-out-of-the-door-and-on-to-the-piste. Both Pik Palace and Shahdag Hotel have ski equipment rental shops with locker space, but if you have kids it might be easier to rent from Shahdag to minimize hauling. Ski equipment is in very good condition and new. The ski school, located next to the ski shop in the Shahdag hotel, has only a limited number of English speaking instructors, and it might be worth booking in advance. They are a bit inflexible (We wanted to book 3 hour blocks instead of 2 hour of private classes and that proved impossible, for instance) but the hotels are helpful in liaising. There is a Kids’ Club next to the ski school (6 AZN/2 hrs), which we found handy. The lifts are excellent, and most allow up as well as down travel, which is useful if you have beginners in your party, as it allows access to pretty much all the slopes including those near the lift base, which is a red piste down from the hotels. All pistes are very well maintained and not too challenging, and certainly when we were there not crowded at all. For lunch if you want to avoid having to get out of ski gear, there is an Illy Caffe in the Shahdag Hotel, next to the ski school offices, and at the lift base. Standard cafeteria fare (burgers, sandwiches, salads) – I’m hoping they’ll add a nice hot soup next year! There is also a kiosk selling beverages at the top of one of the lifts. This is an excellent resort to visit with kids/beginners as they have plenty of choice of blue/green slopes and it’s also easy to ski together for a bit. More advanced skiers might be looking for a challenge after a day or so.
