Staying in Canillo (Andorra) one cannot ignore that little "bridge", hung above in the air - see picture. Well, it's easy to access, we drove up the mountain and arrived to the parking lot (a few spaces next to the entrance, much bigger plot is 170 meter down the road). The walk is not that hard, though it's downhill to reach the view point (and of course uphill back to the car). I saw young and old people doing it. The view of the valley, with Canillo just underneath, and then the opposing mountains, is impressive and almost artistic. One thing to add - please continue driving the road to Ordino - it's beautiful! See more..

We obtained the trail guide brochure from the tourist information office and decided to go on to this trail, which is rated as 'moderate' difficulty level. It took me who is not physically fit more than 2.5 hours for a 4.5km journey to reach to the lake (expect some quite steep slopes along the way). The view along the trail is very scenic where one would pass a forest area known as La Pinosa before reaching to the mountain top which is entirely a beautiful grassland area! Worth to spend at least half day up there for a lake side picnic! The view from the forest land to the valley and to Soldeu is breathtaking! See more..

I took the long walk in Ransol to the Pic del Serrera. For a hiking novice it was a challenge, but I made it to the top. Very beautiful area. It's possible to continue the hike through Sorteny, but unfortunately I had to go back to my car. See more..

Siscaro is a lovely walk, you are mostly in the tree line so it is quite relaxing and cool even in summer, I have done this walk three times now and always enjoy it. It is an easy return trail if you don't have a lot of time, I take visiting friends there because the walk is so pleasant. The lake itself is gorgeous, like all the lakes in Andorra, it is pristine and fishermen seem to do ok in it. There is a refuge down in the valley, perhaps a ten minute walk downhill from the lake, it is handy incase of summer storms etc. I would recommend this walk for kids, there is a lot to look at along the way and it is easy to keep them amused. Watch out for the red and white toadstools, there are quite a few of these along the trail and although they are very pretty to look at, they are incredibly toxic, even to the touch, young children need to be watched because they seem to be attracted to these. On all other points though, it is a lovely walk. See more..

Fui a la Vall d'Incles por recomendación de una amiga andorrana, quería algo cerca de Barcelona, para poder ir el fin de semana, para poder desconectar de todo un poco, ya que agosto trabajando es duro de llevar. It's a nice route for half an ancient mountain passes orreos cattle and beautiful scenery. The itinerary begins at the end of the road Ransol (past the town that bears the same name) next to the Borda Marticella, where we leave the car. The road is marked with (community run) three yellow dots. It has a medium difficulty and takes place in about 4 hours. During the walk we pass the lake Querol and, depending on the season, find blue irises or daffodils, the typical flower of our country. See more..

Fantastic week of lessons with Bruce R. Great balance of instruction and skiing. Cannot recommend the group lessons enough. We did 3 hours 10-1 m-f. We improved in technique and confidence more than we could have ever expected in 5 days. Bruce took us on a huge variety of runs we'd not have known about so acted as a mountain guide as well as instructor. We'll be booking again for next year. We only did the walk from the parking space to the end of the road. It's a very beautiful walk as it follows the right side of the river. I highly recommend it, if you don't have much time or if you are not in a good condition. It's just a few steep parts, but no climbing. This hike is really easy. You are rewarded with a beautiful scenery. If you are lazy, you can take the little train back to the start for 3 bugs ;) See more..

Tucked away under-ground, next to the Church on the hill just on the Northern edge of Canillo, is this fascinating motorcycle museum. It is only 5 Euros so get in (parking free in the adjacent car park) and well worth it to see the amazing display of motorbikes through the ages. The lady who greeted us at the door left us to our own devices to have a look round, but was always on hand to answer any questions, have a chat (she spoke English brilliantly), and generally enthuse about the wonderful bikes here. She told us that all the bikes are on loan from local people, and if you take the time to visit here you'll be impressed at the quantity and quality on show and you don't have to be a petrol-head or a motorcycle enthusiast to appreciate this. Private lessons available for ski and board and prices marginally better than those offered at the main Grandvalira resort. It’s a well groomed slope that’s very quiet and aimed at the absolute beginner. An excellent place to practice newly learned skills. The hotel also offers a good menu (from midday to seven) and drinks to ensure you are fuelled for your experience. For the younger visitor separate areas for sledging and playing are also available. We walked up from the carpark at the top of the Ordino pass. From here the route starts through forest before coming out onto the mountain itself. The path was not too difficult although poles are useful for nearer the top where the slopes are steeper and more scree like. We saw several vultures above us and one below us at one point. A recommended peak as not too difficult but fabulous views. There is a book in a ammo box at the summit in the cairn wall to sign! See more..
